Sorry I haven't played to the level your accustomed to, I remember you mentioned that statisticians have never played to any level, which may be true to a degree, but that's because players are vain and never want to look at their weaknesses, which is what stats show them. Now, validate this for me, JFH wanted this, Les wanted this, the players at the club wanted this. Have you played to a higher level than these lot to prove that you're right and they're wrong? Maybe take a step back, realise that the decision makers are more experienced than you, more knowledgeable than you on the subject at hand, and know how to make the decisions needed. If you're going to ignore my opinion on the player because I lack experience in the sport, but maybe look at the people who make the decision who are more experienced than you and realise that they rate him for a good reason, he's a good player and a good leader.

His contract was renewed in 2015 so most likely it was cut to more sensible numbers.

His contract renewed last year would still be high compared to the rest , he wouldn't have taken a drastic pay cut when he could have walked away on a free ,

Actually agree with Weare here. your stats about his game time the last 3/4 years is irrelevant really. Dont make a blind bit of difference to the here and now and i dont think he was best choice. Does slightly concern me as to what this means for Lynch and Hall as they would be my starting two CB and surely JFH has seen nervous enough at RB now to figure out he cant play there.

Indeed he is, just as I am, so he shouldn't be aiming to devalue my opinion. He comes across like he thinks he's played top flight football for 8 years and led his club to 3 prem trophies in that time, when he's more likely to have played with big John from down the pub on a Sunday afternoon.

Does slightly concern me as to what this means for Lynch and Hall as they would be my starting two CB and surely JFH has seen nervous enough at RB now to figure out he cant play there.

In the comments of this video posted on facebook, Ned himself actually showed up in response to one Clive Taylor who said "Owners take note ..... allowing Nedum Onuoha to remain as club captain is a serious breach of acumen in respect of the club trying to go forward. If this is how JFH & LF are going to approach the season we might as well give up now. We need a LEADER on the pitch ...... not someone that that's a figure nobody will listen to. The fans can see it...... how the hell can't people at the club."

To which Nedum himself (the real Nedum, I've checked) responded "Hi Clive. I can only apologise for being chosen as captain this year by the manager, chairman and the players. Feel free to not turn up if you have an issue with it. The world will keep spinning and everyone that works at the club will continue to work hard in their respective fields to try and achieve what we can with what we have. If you fancy supporting the team then you're more than welcome to the stadium but if you have your issues, go and do something else on a Saturday. Like finish eating that thesaurus"

I probably do mate, you're right, but I don't try and validate it with "experience", but with hard numbers. Not that I have an issue with having experience, but I have an issue with blindly believing experience and ignoring everything else, especially when the experience itself isn't that good anyway.

Why are you so hot on Lynch? He played in a defense that shipped in 71 goals in 46 matches - compared to 54 goals by QPR

two sides to it really. Point one being i dont trust Ned as CB. his great pace everyone bangs on about is more often than not used because he is well out of position. absolutely toilet on the ball and his nervousness seems to spread.
Point 2 being from what i have seen of Lynch (and granted not a whole lot), he looks far better composed on the ball and will complement Hall better,
