His family are settled in the area, kid goes to school in the area. You think he'll give up the opportunity to stay where he is just because they're fulham?

I can't say the same with regards to the chelsea matches, where both sets of fans have been vocal, toxic and loud.
yes and iv been to all these london derbies for the last 15 odd years. Bar the JT/AF incident, Chelsea really coudlnt care less about us. Yes we make plenty of noise there, but with Fulham being in the same league at the moment, they are our biggest rivals and atmosphere is great against them.

Not sure why you need to argue every farking post, really tedious.

We, as fans, always assume that any particular player, feels about QPR like we do.........It's just a job....but occasionally a real bond forms between the player and our beautiful club.

Faurlin is one of those rare players but in the final analysis, it's just a job....

Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Haven't even tried to argue anything, you're saying that you'll be gutted because they're our biggest rivals, calling him out as getting sympathy contracts when we know that he's our most talented player when fit and the club was willing to take a risk on that, I'd much rather the club handled it like that than the way newcastle handled Jonas Gutierrez for example, but anyways, the point is that I don't see how anyone could 1) consider Fulham rivals when there's really no animosity between fans since most fulham fans are tourists and 2) why should we be disappointed in him for staying local in the knowledge that he has a family here. You're saying it's about respect but I'd say his situation is unique and that should be taken into account. Plenty of players move locally because it makes the most sense to, some fans are just too emotional to realise the logic behind a move like this.

Ok we are all too emotional, all hail the all knowing Nas.

Players come and go, rivalries last.

he did get a sympathy contract, no 2 ways about that. Been getting paid plenty of money for being injured in the past. Not sure why you let that slide, but wouldnt for the likes of a Sandro.

He's not getting paid for his injuries and he's not getting paid plenty of money relative to other options. The sheer effort he's put in to get fit to play for us alongside his very clear ability has warranted the risk of giving him a contract each time. If it was a sympathy contract, he wouldn't have been a regular last season. I don't want Sandro getting a new contract here because he isn't someone to call a role model and an inspiration to many.

Rivalries may last and players do come and go, so why are you contradicting yourself by saying he won't be showing respect to the club when you acknowledge that players will come and go?

Also, just pointing out that there are plenty here who have acknowledged the reasoning behind his decision, maybe you should cut the attempt to antagonise me and continued patronising of me.

Point is anyway, I don't see anything wrong with a guy wanting to work locally to where he's lived the last 7 years or so. I know I'd take the first opportunity I got to stay here on good money to support a family.

Got time for the bloke and always given his all. Good luck to him, nice little move and living in Madrid happy days
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                            Under Les Ferdinand:

Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                            And many more mistakes

Extended his career significantly with this move, lot more space for players in La Liga and he'll shine. Will be keeping an eye on him for sure. Good luck Ale.
