Another thing to note - if the pound continues to drop in value then players from the continent will cost a lot more.
That would be a good thing though in my view, as it means we'd be likely to see more quality over quantity to be blended with the best of what this country has to offer.

Think if anything it will reduce the lower standard foreigner from coming over. Will have to be an established international quality.
Imagine it wont have much of an effect on prem football, but could well effect championship football. Could well stop the likes of Polter Cherry etc.

The argument that less foreigners would improve the England team seems utter horseshit to me, the top 15 players in the country will always be playing in the top division. If they are training everyday with the likes of Suarez and Bergkamp they are going to improve rather than training with Carlton Palmer and Geoff Thomas.

Of course the standard of the premier league will drop but we are talking about the England team. I think a limit is certainly the way forward.
When you get games with chelsea and aresnal fielding far too many foreigners, how can that have a good input into our national team?
England is less important than the premier league because money has taken over the game, and most fans over 30 can see that!I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
