It's who we get in the quarters as well, going to be a harder draw than if we'd won. Plus I really hate being second to Wales!

If it wasn't for that last kick 92nd minute goal by Sturridge we would be going home. Phew.

As long as its not Portgual then it wont be so bad.
Still extremely frustrating to have drawn and missed out on finishing top though.
        Momentum killer.

Well, im sure had that goal not happened then Roy would have had to go all out for the win tonight .

He's just come out saying he did. Vardy and Sturridge is going for the win ain't it?

Rooney from the off. Probably Alli, the two full backs.
Its impossible to say the game plays out the same way if the sturridge goal doesnt go in, but what you said had crossed my mind.

Quite simply, our group performances/results at tournaments havent been good enough under Roy.

France in the semis if both of us make it that far.

Totally dominated all three games yet somehow runners up. Unfortunately we haven't converted the many chances we've created.

When did we last top a group at a tournament? Must be going back a while now

Very disappointing we were unable to break down the Slovaks. I agreed with Slaven Bilic's analysis (excellent pundit btw) that we lacked the creativity to unlock their defence and just seemed to run out of ideas in the end. Very impressed with Clyne though, who probably gets my MOTM.

Encouraging also that teams who win it are usually slow starters in the group stages.

Not bothered by a 0-0. We started with a bunch of changes which were worth it, because we now know the best set up for when the competition really starts (and for me that equates to the diamond and personnel vs Wales, second half). One criticism is that I don't think Roy really knew his best formation before hand. Sturrridge for example is so much better playing slightly behind, not back to goal, and that was not foreseen. Luckily there is plenty of time to fine tune. But the merry go round has to stop.

I never saw winning the group as particularly significant. I think its highly likely we'll end up with Hungary, and Wales vs Croatia. That's fine by me. Portugal would be fine too, but I just think they may wake up in their last group game which means Hungary.

Second spot could do us a favour, we beat the taffs and that's what really matters.

Agree. Group F is the weakest group IMO, so this could work out well.

We've dominated every game in this group. Couldn't take our chances yet we have probably the best strikers at the tournement. Strange

Of the big boys, we have France and Italy guaranteed and probably Germany in our half of the draw. Whereas Wales have probably Spain and Belgium (depending on results). Portugal could end up in either, if Croatia finish 2nd they will be in our half. If results don't go our way we could be in a pretty stacked half of the draw
