  • Bids rejected, your thoughts.

So far, according to media reports, we made the following offers for players......

    Negbotyo...... rejected!

    bidwell.......... rejected

    lynch............rejected.

are we penny pinching or are we offering fair values for these players but the parent clubs are being greedy?

who is responsible for placing the rejected fees at our club?
    nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Not sure these are our main targets. Just a thought.

Stop trying to worry about things like that and watch the England game you two. It's well spicy. LoL

It's a very negative way of looking at it. Should we instead overpay for players? It's how it's supposed to be done, go in low and keep tweaking the bid until you get your man. Nothing happens in June as a rule, I for one am glad we're not just spunking over the top money on players. Have no doubt whatsoever that come the start of the season we will have a very competitive squad.

I think this isn't a bad strategy early in the transfer window. If you can get players cheap go for it, only when the window is closing should you raise your prices depending on needs/desperation

I totally understand that point of view but were we not treated to endless videos of jimmy and king les saying that they want to get the bulk of the players needed in early in order to have a good preseason.

Think the original bid was rejected and then we compromised.

That´s my impression as well. The reports are conflicting, perhaps.

Players in the media are there to put them off our real targets, let's see how many of them we really sign or go back in for?

West London isn't as attractive as we think.

I'm waiting for first bid to get accepted... Then we'll have thread called "first bid accepted - are we going in too high?"

My thoughts are we haven't got a lot of money to spend so we are looking for bargains. Hence quite a few players we have been linked with have only a year left on their contracts. Clubs might think we still pay over the odds for players. But yeah i reckon we have a very limited budget.
