The only thing preventing England from SFs at least is Roy having a negativity attack.

The Milner sub being a perfect example of handing back the initiative. If he can control this destructive impulse we'll be fine.

I know Belgium were ####, but what a lesson in tactical management the Italy game was. Loved the way that the Italians simply by-passed congested mid park, but still managed to keep the ball alive. Tactically Belgium were clueless and Italy's 3-5-2 / 5-3-2 ball lost was perfect, a model of how to set that system up.

Italy were brilliant. Know how to win games. Same as the Germans. No matter how poor their form has been or how many people write them off, when it comes to tournaments they turn up.

Ronaldo is the greatest goal scorer in the world, BUT like Zlatan he is relying on service from poor players around him. Austria are no mugs and I fancy them to do well. Same as Iceland who also won't let him have an easy time.

Portgual will tear Iceland apart. You must be joking that there are poor players around Ronaldo.

Opinions, and in mine they are a poor side. Queresma injured for tonight so it will be more than likely Nani up front with Ronaldo. Behind them in midfield they have bang average players compared to the elite sides, and in defence they have accidents waiting to happen in Pepe and Bruno Alves. They will probably start with these 11, and you think any of them apart from Ronaldo are better than average?

Patrício, Vieirinha, Pepe, Alves, Guerreiro, Mário, Danilo, Moutinho, Silva, Nani, Ronnie.

We will see anyhow as you may be right that they smash Iceland. Good thing about football is that we don't know what is going to happen. I think 1-1 tonight.

They should, but Portugal (and Ronaldo) have a history of bottling it when push comes to shove at the highest international level. Talent alone is not enough. You have to be properly set up. Lost count of how many times teams with less ability have ironed out a result in this competition simply because they were organised to their strengths. It's already happened this time around.

Iceland beat the Dutch home and away in qualifying. They are the smallest Nation ever to be represented at the Euro Finals but they are not in the same league as many of the minor Nations. I'm not saying they are great but they are better than appears to be suggested here and they might just upset (what I think is ) a bang average Portugal barring CR of course.

Yep I do. Along with those above there is Sanches and Andre Gomes. Portugal have an abundance of midfield talent.

Portugal are well organised, make no mistake about that.

Iceland are doing amazing. Best performance so far from one of the minnows.
