Hi from Belgium.
Bostock signed for Antwerp in the Belgian Second Division in 2013, being brought in by Hasselbaink who was the manager of Antwerp at that time. He was a fan-favorite there and nearly helped the team to promote (although Antwerp has been trying to get out of the Second Division for over a decade now and they always nearly miss out, this season on goal difference.) In the summer of 2014, he was signed by Oud-Heverlee Leuven (OHL), who had just relegated into the second division. He guided the team immediately back into the Belgian First Division (named Belgian Pro League), scoring 11 goals during that season. The past season at the highest level, again he was one of the regulars and key players in the team. A string of unfortunate results caused the team to be relegated however, with OHL missing last minute chances, being scored against in the final minute, opposing goalkeepers playing the match of their life and other results not going OHL's way throughout the season. OHL finished the season strongly and scored the highest amount of points for any team relegating since the play-off system was introduced. On the final matchday four teams could still be relegated and OHL came just one point short of being saved. As a fan of OHL I would like to say that if the team had not relegated, many of the players would probably have stayed as they were lining up a string of decent results and playing good football, whereas now they are available at a discount. I wonder whether Bostock would have left if the team had stayed up but am inclined to think not, OHL would probably have pushed to keep him. In any case, of course the Belgian league is not very strong and the Championship will be a big step up... but he's still only 24 and seems to be a Hasselbaink favorite. Final note of his good form: recently selected for the Trinidad & Tobago national team this March. Didn't gain a first cap but if he keeps progressing it will only be a matter of time.
