Clint Hill to leave after QPR elect not to renew his contract

Like I said about Ale, it was going to happen sometime. Clint is a solid player and I think we'd do well to keep him on in some kind of coaching job, I know people have suggested this. Perhaps he'll go away, get his coaching qualifications and come back?

But at the same time, if they are getting rid of these guys, they must surely have someone they're going to replace them with. It's just the emotional link we have to Ale and Clint is gonna take a long time to overcome. Good luck to the pair of them, hope to see them back here one day.
So what if Faurlin wanted a first team place? He can ask for it, but as everyone knows it cant be written in the contract nor is it guaranteed. He could have been offered a 1 year deal again and if and when a better midfielder is signed and replaces him in the team, Faurlin could have been moved on - perhaps on loan or in January.
same goes for Hill.

Hill being realeased as a player at 37 makes 100% sense.
The last 24 hours is hard for any fan to take when you lose two club icons simultaneously. The memories are forever in head and heart it's hard to come to terms with.
However if you read Jimmy's perspective on how the club came to their decisions then it's very hard to argue with the decisions.
The only thing I would moan about is if the club haven't tried to find a place for hill on the coaching staff for the first team. He bring last such a presence to the place and is mr QPR they should be looking to retain him in some capacity.
Jimmy dos mention he's sure we will see him back in a coaching role some time in the future so I wonder if this is being explored?
Has clint released anything as of yet like Ali?

It's a shame that with his love and enthusiasm for the Rs a coaching role can't be found, maybe Clint wants to carry on playing? and that's fair enough and although he's never let us down when playing we should be looking to rebuild with younger players, I think he even stated himself that he couldn't believe he was turning out and doing well at this level at his age, So thanks Clint for the memories and your passion for our team, and good luck in the future hope you'll return in a managerial way to club sometime, although I think Mr Warnock will be singing your praises as Rotherham may be looking for someone to fill his role should he leave?

Still, looking forward to him replacing Jimmy sooner rather than later.

A Faurlin trbute has already been put up today, which would suggest one for Hill will follow.
