He skippered the Under-18s side which lost 2-1 after extra-time to Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup in December. Matthews has agreed a two-year deal with TNS, who […]

Anybody know anything about this player an why we let him go?

Young CB, he was in a football magazine or paper last season saying he was a good prospect. Never seen him play. Best of luck to him.

He's joined the Welsh league. Hardly a step up.

He's left because he's not good enough probably.

        This.

To play "champions league football" means he gets to lose in a 1st preliminary round to some Latvian outfit. Good luck to him.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

He was the captain of the under 18s and is a defender. We don't exactly have a surplus of defenders.

Yeah but we can't just draft in a youngster for the sake of it either. You say he's getting Champions league football but how far are TNS likely to get? Not far at all I'd wager.

seems like a disastrous move for the lad to go and join the welsh league. How may players from their actualyl sign for a championship/league1/league 2 team.

Most likely not up to it.
