Lets see what he can do with a pre season under his belt"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Perhaps a striker who hasn't got the positional sense to get into goalscoring positions relative to what is necessary may be the issue. Remember, Austin managed 10 in just over 11 games with a midfield no better than this one."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

I personally think we are incredibly lightweight and don't rate our midfield unit at all"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. As said in the other thread:

Personally stand by what I said the other day, that Washington has done absolutely nothing since signing. However, people who disagreed with me had a fair point that he hasn't really had that much game time. He could improve given a run of games.Top Scorers 2018/2019

He can run and huff and puff all day but playing alone upfront is simply not his game.Top Scorers 2018/2019
