  • Championship and league 1 era

The last 15 years of our existent have mainly been in these leagues.

Was wondering who has been your favourite and most classiest players you have watched whilst we have played in the second and third tier of English football.

Someone put a clip of buszacky scoring a 30 yard screamer up on Facebook and it got me thinking of a few gems who have played for us over the last few years.

Here are a few that jump to my mind -

    Cook
    Rowland
    Wardley
    Buszacky
    Connolly
    Langley

Remember that too. Blinding turnaround! Is there any reason you've missed Adel off that list? The most gifted player to grace the hallowed turf of Loftus Road since Stan Bowles.

I was thinking that as well. One of those unique talents. Shame he tailed off but him in the Championship was something I don't think we'll experience in a long time.

Paul Furlong was a big favourite of mine.

I really liked Dexter when we had him too

Adel, head and shoulders above any championship player to play in that division imo.

Buzsaky on his day was brilliant, always remember that goal v Blackpool I think it was when he lobbed the keeper with a hell of a touch from like 5 yards. Cookie, Routledge, Faurlin.

Deliberately left him off as he was the obvious none tbh.

Was trying to think of fans favourites like Padula ect and certain particular games and performances that bring back memories.

My fondest memories have probably been of us in the championship and league 1 where we over achieved and had players who really played for the shirt.

I really liked Rowlands and considering he came to us as a RB, turned out to be a decent winger.

For some reason always felt that Furlong was a class above everyone else on the pitch.

Gotta be Adel for me. Althougg I loved players like Cook when he was here, I was proper gutted for him when he injured himself against us, he really deserved a crack in the prem after what he did for us.
I remember being super excited when we signed Adam Bolder too haha, I think its because we were a pretty low side at the time whereas he'd captained Derby a few times. My dad got his autograph for me too for xmas after spotting him at the ground!

Oddly enough my favourite QPR games have been either the playoff final, or the 3-2 loss against Man City when they beat us in the final minutes to win the prem. Gotta be one of the most legendary games of all time and was a cracking game throughout!

Birch and that winner at Brentford. The ####ing passion in that team sent shivers down your spine, loved those Holloway days before he lost the plot. Really liked Andy Thompson as well for some reason
