  • We need reason to be positive JFH

After another debacle on tv i don't normally air my views but JFH made hoilett train on his own after a long flight back from international duty? had we progressed so far in the international break from that we were suddenly playing Barcelona esque football that he isn't worthy of training with the other players given that he's been in much better form than recent well years! seems strange to me?

Nedum Onhua if you are to be called chief i suggest you play like one for 90 plus extra time, for me he's either got to play centre back or personally id stick him in front of the back 4 as a holding centre back as he's less of a liability there, for me yeah he's passionate but he cant concentrate and played his best when he had Dunne next to him as he could read the game for him.

Hall ok he had a stinker last night but i think he could play at a higher level 1st game back and to be fair we were garbage in defence. as for Perch and Angella least said the better. Whilst on the subject of defence i watched a lad play for Peterborough earlier in the season who's at Leicester Callum Elder quick strong and does leave his mark when allowed in the tackle whoever though Konch was a better option for us must be either blind or paid via back handers.

Tactics last night i fail to see that to negate George Friend we have to play Mackie love the guys passion but he's lost it sadly for him he's no better than league 2 yep great goal but sadly jog on. So on the basis we aint going up we aint going down why not play attacking football instead of worrying about Boros left back he's hardly bombing forward with the ability of a Brazilian international. Attack him make him defend Which moves me onto Phillips if you won't defend and won't be interested in playing jog onto another pay check elsewhere. Why not give Washington 80 minutes and Phillips 10 or Petrasso a run out anyone that will make a go of it and try ! I will admit i wasn't over the moon with JFH appointment but i am willing to give him benefit of the doubt and judge him 2017 season. But are we playing for cash and say 8th place money.

So looking forward to 2016-17 season we need a proper chief 2 x full backs obviously we got Robinson to get fit, another winger a don't dick about concentrate for 90 mins centre back for Hall to learn from and play alongside Ale to be fit all season again another forward bit of experience someone like Nugent would be ideal for Polt and washington and a spring clean of the most ruthless variety and that would be something positive for Rs fans JFH

Apologies for any shocking grammar spelling #### ups etc but i couldn't be bothered at school which is why I'm not bad at snooker!!

Welcome to the forum, didn't hear anything regarding Hoilett but I assume it's to do with the fact that he's been playing with Canada and needed a break which is why he didn't start, same goes for Luongo.

Agree that Onuoha should be in the middle and as you said, when you have someone who can read the game a la Dunne, he plays even better but that is what I feel Hall is to him. I'm confident that their partnership will flourish together as it already has done this season.

Not so sure I agree with much else, I'm not a fan of Mackie's and I feel Washington should be played ahead of him in that position as they are both workers but Washington has more skill about him.

JFH mentions Hoilett training on his own in this piece on the official website. He also states the reason as being due to Junior arriving back so late from Canada.

Sounds like he arrived back late so missed morning training so trained himself in the afternoon. Mountains and molehills come to mind.

Hoilett was obviously going to have a light training session on his own after thousands of miles of travelling and other than our defence yesterday we were mixing it with a team that is getting promoted most likely. Just need a little consistency and a new CB and all will be well. No need to be miserable or on JFH's back. He is doing a good job.

Cant understand where this idea of playing Ned in midfield has come from, but no thanks!

Quite simply, the bloke is a great Athlete, poor footballer. Putting him into a position that requires him to pass is a big no no from me. He clearly still isnt comfortable with the ball at his feet and if he aint learnt that by now, he isnt going to.

                  Centre back only for me.

I would be quite happy for Onuoha to leave. Not sure what he brings to the table for his reported massive wages.

Go with Hall and Angella long term and bring another youngish centre half into the club to challenge.

I've always rated Onuha but have to agree with the second sentence.

Crikey we are fickle on here. Not long ago when Hall and Ned have formed a brilliant partnership it was all praise about how great we look defensively, now 1 poor game and it's "I don't know what he brings to the table" and calling for him to be shipped out?

He's no world beater, but at this level he is a very good CB. Will make the odd error, as will all Championship level players. He brings us much needed strength and pace at the back and, IMO, Ned & Hall are our best CB pairing by a mile.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
