I was hoping he'd have gone in Jan but sadly he didn't. The club should have junped at broughs offer of cash + Adomah for him. Adomah is a player I'd love to see here, qpr fan and a good player to.

Spot on. Perch had no cover at all from Phillips all game.

Can't wait to see him out the door tbh. Thinks he's a lot better than he actually is. Should be terrorising this division, but just couldn't be arsed it seems.

Like a few others have said, he is a right winger and a right winger only. most wingers now are equally comfortable on either side, but Phillips aint one of them. I suspect he was shifted over to make sure mackie could offer protection for Friend who keeps going forward like a train all day. So i can see the logic, but in all honesty, would either play him on the right or not at all.

I did wonder whether the instructions were to stay up and not come back so we have an outlet and someone for Polts to link up with.

Still think he is a decent member of our squad and wouldnt like to see him go. At the end of the day, if he produced his best every single week, he wouldnt be playing for us.

Typical modern day footballer in my opinion. Talented but doesn't have to work for his money. Earns loads and can't be arsed, exactly the kind of player I no longer want at QPR. I can probably count the number of good games he's had this year on one hand. The application isn't good enough despite what the stats might say. It's obvious

I think people are expecting something of him that he isn't. He is not a defensive winger in the form of hoilett and mackie. He doesn't try and cut in every time like Hoilett, he is a crosser and playing him as anything else puts him off. He won't contribute to every phase of play every single time the ball shifts phases but in this league, there is no better crosser guaranteed and you can ask Charlie Austin that, you can ask Seb Polter that. They are better players because of his capable deliveries and we are a better team because of it.

The fact that our full backs (they aren't even wing backs at the moment, with Perch and Ned) need protection from the winger when in fact it should be one of Faurlin or Henry who should be covering (which they did most of the time) doesn't make sense to me. You don't need 8 defenders, you really don't need more than 5 players back at any one time.

And yea, when he's up top and loses the ball, he doesn't always chase after it again and he could work on that but that isn't his game. We play to his strengths and we play better as a result. Get the ball to him high up the field. Let him take on one man at the edge of the box and deliver it in and we will get goals easily. Think about Antonio Valencia when he first joined Man Utd and assisted rooney week after week just because the team played him in at the right position.
"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

Before he got injured (about 3 months after he arrived at the Club) didn't he used to run around a lot more. Perhaps he is concerned about getting another serious injury.
