I do. His first touch is poor (as others have said tbf, so are many others, he isn't alone). But on more than a couple of occasions the ball was dropped to his foot and he goes to pull it down and it bounces off his shin or something! As I said above though, I like him, growing on me more by the game.

I told people on this forum he would be early on, hope he really does and brings the big buzz back to LR.

I still think he's got the first touch of Stephen Hawking. But he's consistently proving himself to be a real bloody handful..... and that's good enough for me.

His touch has definitely improved a lot and I think it's much much better than you give him credit for. He is a handful and a half to add on as well which is great to have.

You need to see the video of yesterday's touch leading to the penalty.

was extremely poor against Charlton. a few good tackles when chasing back, but really apart from that, was poor all game imho. Desperately need more options up front for next year.

Would say he had one bad moment when he was free on the left and totally missed the ball (farcical) but other than that he was fine....great lay-off to Chery second half that should have finished with a goal.

Only issue I have is that he doesn't get in the box enough to be a target.

We talk about the effort he puts in but I think it killed him towards the end because he was around the half way line when we were counter attacking. I didn't really notice many bad touches beyond the hilarious one you mentioned. Overall though, he still played well, did a lot of work all around the box but yea, he needs to get into the box more often to get deliveries to him. I'm pleased that in the few games our striker doesn't get a goal or assist, we have a squad that can.

Very poor game. Will be a good squad player to have and will do a job when required, but next year if we want to kick on we cannot be having Polter as a starter.

Massive point this. At last we have midfielders that can score goals.

Think that was under instruction Nas. As soon as we scored JFH called him over and was giving him instructions. Thought must have been as Charlton were going to go long ball so he could win headers. as Matty said, squad player for next year, cant see us getting play offs with him as the main man. Still young though, so time to improve.

That's fair enough, but I disagree that he "can't" be the main man in a play off team. Since he came into the side full time, our points tally has only been 4 points off of the play offs form teams. I think his style of play is also going to be a huge advantage, he always brings others into the game and creates space. He's the right type of striker for a play off run.

I do like him & he's really grown on me, the right sort, but if he leads the line next season we'll struggle to be top 8 imo.

Need a natural goal scorer to get the goals. Polti a great foil & option as a battering ram, but I do believe what we're seeing now is his peak.

Washington really needs a run / goal as I like the look of this kid. Just hasn't had the rub of the green so far.

Can't see Polter getting more than 10-12 goals a season playing alone up top but with a player like Washington to partner him, that is a deadly combo.
