How the assistant ref could even claim to see that the whole ball went out of play from where he stood is unbelievable. He would have needed xray vision. And even then got it so wrong.

Same as Mate.... I gave him a fair amount of stick when he first came here, but hands up and I got to admit he's very qickly becoming my favourite player. Not jumping on any sort of Polter band wagon or anything, but love his passion/ the way he gives 1000 every week. Ok not the most gifted/tallented player but everytime he gets the ball I cant help but think somthing could happen.

Was well in, they showed it on the screen at half time. That tackle from polter, he showed great pace and determination as you said. Proper love this player we have on our hands here.

still think polter got be more effective in the air , can't fault him for effort though . would much rather have triers like polter than more talented lazy players like phillips

If he gets decent crosses he will,totally agree about Phillips lazy,not intrested a disgrace to his profession same as Toilet
who has only started playing as needs a new contract at some club,just hope its not us renewing.

Like others, not sure where this 'poor 1st touch' comes from? Maybe he was a little nervous to begin with, a new country and new team mates? Yes, I've seen him let the ball get away from him once or twice, but I've also seen him receive passes drilled at him in difficult circumstances and kill them stone dead. I can only see him improving as he gains confidence, and could end up as a cult hero.
