On paper JFH makes sense. Ex pro of highest level therefore commands respect, Young manager to fit in with the clubs NEW philosophy of young hungry players, calm and controlled personality.

He started poorly but has improved. No one really knows but my gut feeling was and still is that the DOF/Old pals act regime could be our undoing. I also don't think we will go up or even challenge next season as the new methods will take longer than a year or two to properly implement, IF they actually come to fruition.

Personally I would have ditched Les then interviewed prospective managers on the basis of a change of club philosophy. Not to the extent of never investing in a Barton or Hill type of "been there and done it" leader or two, but I agree with losing the "QPR money bags, last pay day camp".

What I'm trying to say is there is a middle ground between where we WERE and where we are quickly heading.

I think he has done ok. I am not sure about the optimism for next season though, his points per game is quite average and though it seems that we have been unlucky, if you are persistently unlucky then I think that something is going wrong.

I would have preferred Warnock (and his points per game at both QPR and Rotherham this season is excellent) but it got vitriolic on this forum as you either had to support everything the club did, or be attacked. I think that most posters will return over the summer or at the start of the next season. This season has nothing exciting happening, and unless Jimmy fields five debutants in a game then other aspects of life will take priority

I share your doubts about next season being any more than flirting with the top 6 , but think it's harsh to judge his over all points ratio I think he should be judged on the ratio he has acheived over the last 10 games
10 games 16 points 2 losses in a side thats on the mend !

I agree with what you are saying, but 1.6 points per game still wouldn't be enough to get into the playoffs, so a further improvement is needed for next year.
Whilst no one was suggesting Warnock as a long term solution, as a short term if we wanted to have a go this year then I think he would have been better (not that I have any idea if he did want the job, but as he is now managing elsewhere it might have been possible). Warnock has managed 12 games in the championship this year and earned 1.75 points per game, which is what is needed to be a playoff contender.

The last thing we want is for long-standing decent posters to feel driven away by a small group of people intent on sabotaging and stifling reasoned debate. Oh, you mean Shamie. Yes, I understand he retired from posting a couple of years back due to ill-health. Good guy though and very much missed.

JFH was a good appointment IMO, an up and coming manager with a great record, the whole Chelski thing aside (which surely we can get over) what's not to like? Isn't this the sort of appointment pretty much the entire fan base has been asking for?

It's not gone possibly as well as we could have hoped for so far in the respect of results but it's looking like things are changing for the greater good and hoping there are more results and performances like the Derby & Brentford game rather than the MK Dons and Fulham ones!

tbh the Chelshite thing doesn't even enter my mind. I see him as a young (ish) determined, capable manager who can make a real name for himself at a club like Queens Park Rangers.

Same Jimmy. Don't think many are bothered about the his chelsea playing days.

I can tell you that Ramsey/Warnock/Hasselbank have as an average 1,34 points per game and than superstars Morinho/Hidding have managed

It would be interesting to read what we said about JFH when he was appointed. Personally , I think I have backed him all the way, and I still do..

Personally wanted Pearson but have stood by JFH from the off. Hats off to the Board as I think under JFH we are definitely moving in the right direction and more importantly, we've got our Rangers back!
