As much as I like Hill and even if currently he is slightly better than Hall. It should be Ned and Hall. Hill has said himself one more season as backup when needed as he can't play every match he knows that in his own body and fitness. Hall is our future and deserves the start and consistency and Ned and Hall together are a great pairing.

It's easy to hide behind stats, and to claim your opinion is the right one because they might seem in your favour. Codswallop.
Clint's vocal, leadership and organisational skills play a massive role which stats simply cannot factor for.

Mackie is a player with passion and he does sweet FA to benefit the team with that regard. I rate Hill very highly and he is a very good defender, but his lack of pace can be overexposed playing alongside Hall, just as Angella's was. Onuoha may not look to some as the best defender, or the best leader but he is a key element in making the defence comfortable and balanced. People look at his mistakes but I refer you back to his block against Rotherham for example as one of the many cases where his pace has benefited the team and you wonder if another one of our defenders could have gotten to that ball.
You claim hiding behind stats is the easy thing, what about hiding behind the idea of seeing what you want to see. I don't think its a fair statement to suggest anyone is hiding behind anything. I've got loads of avenues showing both mistakes made by Onuoha and moments of brilliance defensively from him and on balance, he is better for our defence than many would want to believe."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. I think its harsh to suggest Angella or Hall should be dropped after one bad game. I'm going to assume for the sake of this post that we're going to sign Angella next season in which case it makes the most sense to play him alongside Hall. There is nothing to be lost this season and we should look at the rest of the games that we have left as a pre pre-season, a chance to give the team more time to gel and figure out what positions need to be strenghthened and changed.
Both Angella and Hall have played great for us this season, especially Hall who will be the future of our defence for many years.
Chopping and changing players everytime they have a bad game is ridiculous and makes no sense especially if favour of 37 year old part time backup player who could retire at any moment. I love what Hill has done for the club and hope he does have a future behind the scenes here but the long term performances of the club is more important than a winning a few games between now and the end of the season
