Just had a quick look at the out of contract players list and I think there are a few bargains to have from it at the end of the season - Here's a few for example.

I'd snap Craig Noone up and I think James Henry is handy player if phillips go.

James Morrison, always thought he was decent. The problem is with Free signings is the wages they will command, don't think it would fall into our wage structure. Maybe the championship players not as much but players like Olsen, Carroll and Huddlestone will want a few quid. Wouldn't want any of them 3 anyway.

Steve Cook would walk into our back line, even with Angella and Hall playing well. Also James morrsion for any championship team would be a great signing imo!! Both these players won't drop down imo unless someone offers big money.

And that is one big reason. Would much prefer us to avoid spending over the odds for players when we could easily unearth some players from the PL reserves (Hall), Championship (Angella) or lower leagues (Luongo) that would fit into the side just as well.

I'd look at Carroll for sure from the prem list, he'd fit the requirements that we're looking for perfectly; then from the champ list, Elmohammedy, and Spurr might be solid options but I looked at the list and saw our old boy Fabio is on it as well. Would people be interested in bringing him back? From the prem as well a few interesting ones are Flanagan (although I suspect he'd stay at liverpool or go to some mid table prem side) and Darron Gibson.

In any case I do like the idea here but we could also look at players with just a year left on their contracts and I compiled a list for that as well here:
