JFH needs to take some serious credit with what he has done with him and perch.

I don't care what any one says about hoilett prior to this season because he was turd. Even the championship season where people are suggesting he was ok, its b***ocks. He couldn't pick a pass out to save his life and gave the ball away continuously which resulted in us being countered time and time again when we were in good attacking positions. He got hammered on this site by me and most others as he was infuriating.

However I don't know what JFH has done but whatever it is keep it going. As he is a different player this season and he has progressed huge and he's having a impact on the games he's playing. I do think the decision to retain him isn't simple. However sometimes chemistry with someone just clicks and if I am being honest and I say this through gritted teeth it seems that JFH and Hoilett are perfect for each other. After the last few tears of mainly dire performances from Junior he should really consider his next move carefully because JFH has unlocked something in him that maybe other managers wont be able to get from him or give him the platform he needs.

Right now I cant believe I think this but if we can tie him down to two years with possibly a third one as a option dependent on QPR's terms within our new wage structure then its a no brainer.

I'm not cynical enough to believe it's because he's after a new contract - he's just being coached and managed better now, work which was begun with Warnock and being continued by JFH.
Agree with you. Not only his goal but his clever passes surprised me. I would offer him two year contract with £30 000 a week and £1m bonus if we go up. It's risky but I think we can afford that.

30k a week is too much for us to be paying mate. Miles too much

Do you think so? That would be about £1,5m per year. We cannot have all players less than £10 000 per week if we want to go up. Sustainable player budget for us in the Premier League would be about £50m.

its a sad sad world but unfortunately hes only performing to put his self in the window i would get rid of hoilet and matty phillips and bring in real superstars like alan judge from brentford hes got 14 goals and is so consistant and will probabley get twenty goals this season now that is impressive

I do think it's stretching it while we are a championship club turning over small gate receipts. I accept that all players can't be on low money but we've got to be very carefull. If he can't fit himself into a strict playing budget he goes and we look for a cheaper alternative for which there will be loads. If we were in the prem that's a totally different ball game but we're not. I'm impressed with him recently but let's not also forget that for the vast majority of his time here he's been dog ####

feels too high to me too. i think unofficially, we now have a wage cap of £20k for incomings (and they need to be very good to get that). we can't be paying most of the team £10k or less and then have one or two picking up 3 or 4 times what the ones who are putting a shift in are getting, it doesn't work that great. might not be the main reason, but overall performances have picked up since the better paid (and, in truth, better) players have gone somewhere else.

Give him 15-20k two year deal and if he don't like it, he can lump it.

Lets not forget he's been useless for most of his contract - Let's not go overboard.

30K a week? In the Champ?

£1million bonus to get us promoted....

                        LOL!

We are already paying about 30k or more for Green, Traore, Onuoha, Hill, Phillips, Faurlin, Henry, Diakite.
Hoilett would deserve that if he continues his current form.
Surely a bonus would motivate anyone better than just a weekly wage and would be less risky for us.

No player deserves the sort of money they get, let's make that clear. Furthermore Green and Co need to go to resolve this issue!!

BUT in football terms, yes Junior has been great and I would love to keep him at QPR for 2 more years at least. Let's say (Speculation based) he is earning currently £40-45K a week still, keeping in mind we did get relegated so it would have decreased. As a Championship he should not be earning that sort of cash, not even close... 1. We have small gates and cant really justify that 2. He isnt worth £30K really, I would say a top striker scoring 30 goals possibly is 3. I dont think 80% of the championship players are on more than £25K tops.
