Junior Hoilett, Alejandro Faurlin, Armand Traore, Karl Henry, Samba Diakite, Rob Green, Paul Konchesky, Clint Hill and Oscar Gobern are all out of contract in the summer. I think they'll offer another 1 year deal to Ali, a year deal to Clint in a player/coach role, and bin off the rest.

Yea, he wasn't great when we signed him and he's not really been incredible but he's been solid at this level certainly.
We are seeing improvement becuase of the position and team formation which suits him better.

Hoilett was MOTM without doubt on Sat. That was his best ever game for us IMO.
I'm not cynical enough to believe it's because he's after a new contract - he's just being coached and managed better now, work which was begun with Warnock and being continued by JFH.

His distribution for the last few years has been shocking and that of a 10 year schoolboy who never lifts his head up. He's been frustrating as hell as there is a ok player in there somewhere. I can understand why people are making a case for him right now and half of this season as there has been a upturn in form and he is making all of us think that maybe he is worth a gamble for a new deal. However to say his 3 years at qpr prior to the last few months wernt garbage is literately rubbish.
Your a stat man mate. Would love to know his assist and goals record prior to this season?
I respect your views mate but seem to differ quite considerably on mackie and hoilett lol

Hoilett has failed in his four years with us, but is playing very well these days.. can argue its the style of play or the manager. But lets not get carried away. He's on a massive amount of money (as likely ned is) as he was signed in the era where we gave money away. If we can severly slash his wages in half, probably more. then we will should offer him a deal. Likely though he'll head off for money.. maybe even the MLS.Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

To be fair, in the Prem I would agree and say Junior was very poor and not the player we thought we had signed....
But in the Champ play-off winning season he was reasonably good and featured a lot for the club, this season he has been superb and has been one of our best players.
I would give the man a new 2 year deal as long as its on a reduced deal.
