Ok,lol. Thanks. I just thought I had to suggest it as a possible reason for his lack of gametime today. It could be that he still is a bit raw as a player in this league.

But you just look for every critism because you do t like him. The comment that Henry is 10 X better on another thread is ridiculous to.
As said he's no world beater and I'm not saying he's a player for a top 6 champ team but as a squad floater goes he is easily good enough at this level and can be relied on to put a shift in when needed.

Get fed up with ridiculous player bashing, especially ones who fight for every ball and it actually means something to play for QPR to them.

        - if a 'longer term development strategy/vision is what's needed etc, then perhaps this is a nice example of doing just that.

Certainly made me think anyway buddy.

I think we are better off with the etc way of doing it this time around, yes.

Its not a negative that a player like Washington can't get into the side, its a positive because who exactly should be dropped in favour of him? Chery is on good form and Polter somehow puts on performances that are both bizzare yet amazing!

i agree he probabley shouldn't get in the team but at 3 nil it would have been good to have another look at him

Now we've hit 50 points, I wonder if JFH will start to blood some youngsters, including Washington ?
Kpekawa to give Hill a breather. Petrasso for Phillips, Nasser for Hoilett, Ingram ?
                Not all at once obviously.

Yeah I agree on that, we know what we're going to get with Mackie and he will probably never be more than just a squad player whereas hopefully Washington can make a better claim on the first team. I'd love us to start playing with two strikers up front but from what we've seen, Chery and Polter make a pretty damn good combination.
Who would have thought though at the start of the season that Polter would go on to become our most effective striker? Funny how the game works but I love Polter so far!

I think many will agree that Henry is much much better. He can be relied to put a shift in sure but that shift involves 0 decent touches, 0 intelligent passes or runs and more bad tackles that could give away dangerous fouls or bookings than good tackles. I could put a shift in and fight for every ball and it would mean a lot to me to play for QPR but that doesn't mean I should be there because of the effort I put. He doesn't do the squad any favours when things aren't going well either by playing to the crowd.

Also, you can't say you're fed up with ridiculous player bashing when I've read your comments on Hoilett who (if Henry isn't) is in fact 10 times the player mackie is.

If hard graft and a willingness to die for the cause was the pre-requisite for being a professional footballer we'd probably all qualify to wear the hoops.Despite his limitations, I don't dislike JM, and under certain circumstances, can understand JFH bringing him on to help close down a game when we're 1-0 up and under pressure.
However, IMHO, at 2 or 3 nil up, today was the ideal time to give CW a run out, without him having to be too worried about making a mistake and losing the ball.

My issue with him is that grafting is not something that can be relied upon without a level of defensive ability along with it. If he want's to be a grafter, he has to tackle better or he's useless. Pressure only gets you so far without a bit of intelligence to go with it and he lacks that.

I was going to say something similar mate. Cue the "He's only playing well cos he wants a contract..."

Hoilett is on 40 plus k a week and for 3 and a half years has been utter dog.

Mackie got promoted with QPR played for the shirt and actually produced when olaying for us in the top flight. Right now he's a decent squad player who can be relied on when needed. As said nothing more but for some reason is becoming a scapegoat to moan about.

I'm more than fair with my comments and judgment and hoilett is playing well as and I have said fair play.

However he still can't cross a ball to save his life and yes we should be cautious about his up turn in form a few weeks before his deal runs out. Would be careless for the club not to think where has this side of hoilett been for the last 36 months.
