Speaking to the guy next to me today about that, would definitely rather give him a new contract knowing what we'll get with him than risk having to over spend in the summer bringing in someone who might not be as good.

After the best part of FOUR Seasons we finally get four good games out of Junior.

Like Phillips he is a Premiership player when motivated.. but a Sunday League player when not.

Unless his mental state has changed for the good, then he is no way worthy of another sizeable contract.. we need PERMANENTLY hungry players if we are to progress.

It's a real shame he's hit form as his contracts about to expire, but the philosophy at the club has changed and if he was willing to play ball on a new contract he'd probably be our highest earner, yet probably on less than half than he's on.

Problem is for us is he's hit form at the wrong time. Other clubs will be watching closely ready to pounce for another QPR freebie as his contract runs down. Bit galling tbh.

hes a bit of an oddity really hes one great player when motivated but a non entity when not interested i think hes got some nervous sort of complant and i fear he will never be good enough but lets see if he can get into the mood and try to up his game to bring in the one thing he needs which is consistancy
