  • Robinson update

Its nearly three weeks since JFH said that he cannot wait to pick up Robinson. He did play in some friendlies, however, so far he was not even able to make the bench. Is he still some time away from making his debut? Hope there's no new problems with his physical condition.

I think we are in a position where we don't need to rush him back.

Such a serious injury JFH wont need to play him until he's genuinely ready. Very good player though and think he will impress a lot of the fans when given his chance and he's back up to fitness.

Potentially career ending injury - that bad imo based on what we were told last year. At that point March was predicted as the earliest come back date so he is close to being on schedule. No point in rushing, after that kind of injury you also have to rebuild confidence.

We have no chance of going up or down which is good as we don't need to rush him back this season if there is any doubt at all.

          Exactly this.

Plenty of time in pre season to get into shape/match fit.

To be honest, he's not even played many u21 games. Even traore gets a game in the u21s... I dont think he is that close despite whats reported. No need to rush him back.

So many people are moaning about Robinson not being back yet (not on this thread, by the way), I don't think they actually understand how bad the injury was. Career-threatening was how it was described. You cannot take any risks with that, getting him back quickly is out of the question. I don't think it's wise for him to play a full game until perhaps pre-season, but I have a feeling we might see him in the last couple of games.

Sorry, forgot to put this is the fans forum thread.

JFH confirmed last night that he picked up a cyst in his calf following the u21 game last month so has had to rest for 3 weeks and have an injection. He's trained this week with the aim to play in the u21 game on Monday. Providing he gets through that and then a weeks training after then he will be in contention I would imagine for Leeds/charlton time

Thanks, no point rushing this return imo

I'm quite excited when he's back first team level, he never actually played for us so it will be like a new signing and Huddersfield fans really liked Robinson

                          Good luck Jack
