to be fair, not that I agree with the term, but realist was originally used by people in that camp do describe themselves compared to others. It was this whole "I'm just being realistic thing" and it developed from that. I do agree with your sentiment however, no point in that sort of description from either side.

        That's pretty much spot on.

This. I like to come on here and twitter from time to time and have a right laugh reading the "Blame Les" comments every time we drop points. Seems like you can blame him for anything these days! I'm positive for the future and most rangers fans I know are too.

honestly don't see it like this...

when writing, it's far easier to be memorable if you're expressing something at the extreme... if you read a review of, say, a film, you'll remember a review that says that the film is dreadful "the worst film ever", or amazing "the best film ever" far more than one that says "er... yeah, it's ok, some aspects of it are good, other aspects are not so good", despite the fact that the latter applies to at least 90% of all films and the other 2 apply to 10% at best.

i don't personally feel that there is a big "extremely positive" group, i feel that there is a group of people who want to harp on about the negative aspects of the club (although their arguments are often contradictory - "look at how much money we've wasted, we should have spent Ģ10m on jordan rhodes instead"/"fernandes is a fool, we should sack every manager after 10 games, if they haven't won at least 7 of them"). often anyone that says, "uh... let's give people time, we're not the biggest club in the world" are painted as overly positive.

also, as a general rule, anyone who can remember what people were claiming a year ago is deemed to be a fantasist with a short memory if they don't agree with the latest truisms that posters are now claiming... yay for tha interweb!

I hate losing, I mean I really bloody hate it. Bugs me for at least a couple of days. I therefore normally overreact after a loss but I do the same after a win. I'm now thinking "playoffs".......I think I need help. I can never be rational about qpr.

Same but lose at home to Brentford will send me over the edge with Jimmy having to hide.he needs to set us up to go all out and batter these kannts! Stick the draw up ya jacks Jimmy , all out Saturday. Few slaps for the bees massive is a must after last time out.

Have to agree. Was heartbreaking and embarrassing enough getting turned over by the Ruperts twice, getting turned over by farking Brentford twice doesn't bear thinking about. A draw won't do either.

People always post about wanting our manager sacked. Even Warnock only escaped that for one season...about half a dozen games into the subsequent Premiership season posters were calling for his head (and look where that got us!). It's as if a change of manager is going to fix everything and make everyone happy - the joy after Harry went was unconfined....strangely as was the joy after Ramsay went.....as will be the joy after JFH eventually goes - some things in the world never change.
