Whilst yesterday very frustrating how on earth is it down to Tony and the board? Have you lot actually re-read what you posted and thought it through?
We all know what is happening in the background with the club. Anyone expecting any major quick improvement on the pitch is deluded. We had the good last week and the bad this week. I'll start realistically looking for consistency next season. Anyway just gotta wipe some bird poo off my car. Damned seagull. Tony must have sent it!
I think your right to point out we're in a long term job Foxy but that said your defence of T F is a bit stretched uncle bungle is very apt in his case just look back over his tenure
1st he sacks Warnock who was left to pick up the scraps of a transfer window that no one else wanted , when the wise thing was to stick with what we had until the January window even if it meant going straight back down, who better to get them back up than Warnock ?
2nd he brings in Hughs gives him bundles to buy his way out trouble by doing what T F wanted .
3rd he brings Redknapp to clear some of the earlier crap and to carry on to go way he [T F ] wanted the club to go
4th Redknapp is forced out with the club one point adrift from safety with just 6 months left on his contract to be replaced by two novices who allow the side to fall apart a situation that has got little better since
So can any body be happy with his non progress as chairman under which the club has accumulated debts and have the threat FFP fines and possible threat of a transfer embargo issued all in all he has taken the club backward by about 6 or 7 years

...alternatively, he takes over a club that was in no way prepared for the rigours of a prem league campaign (remember how bolton demolished us in that first game? i do).
colin (the manager who has never performed at prem level) doesn't perform at prem level (remember hill screaming at colin during the norwich game that season needing guidance, because colin had been caught out by norwich using tactics (something colin hadn't anticipated)? i do). a vocal part of the fanbase (although not the majority) urge uncle tony to remove colin and bring in someone with prem-level experience.
then he recruits a manager called leslie with a track record of moving small/medium sized teams from relegation fodder to being regular top half finishers.
leslie convinces him that he needs to spend big, then breaks up the core of the old squad - everyone seems largely happy with the players that we bring in at the time, but later it turns out to be an epic disaster.
the fans (including lots of people on this messageboard) urge uncle bungle to sack leslie and employ red chap. uncle bungle does this.
the fans (including lots of people on this messageboard) urge uncle bungle to sack red chap because he's going to take us down. uncle bungle does not do this, although red chap's knee mysteriously needs an operation after uncle bungle doesn't throw money at him to spend. some people who usually complain about uncle bungle throwing money at managers to spend decide that, by not throwing money at red chap to spend, uncle bungle has forced red chap out, and they complain about this instead.
having paid ridiculous wages to his previous managers who have been largely ineffective, uncle bungle promotes from within at much lower costs. the side actually continues much the same (they finally win away from home, but remain inconsistent at best), but anyway...
i don't think many of us are happy with his performance as chairman, but if anything, the problem is that he often seems to run the club on the whims of fans. personally, i'd like him to get off twitter, stop listening to fans, run the club as a company for a while - keep going down the current recruitment path, balance the books, and if we go up, then we go up, and if we go down, we go down. but look at other recent threads... urging uncle bungle to get shot of another manager, sack virtually every employee of the club, never play this player or that player ever again, splash out £10m on jordan rhodes etc etc.

If you or any other posters start rolling this crap out after every defeat, I may actually shoot myself. We've heard this stuff a million times, we know he's made mistakes, TF know's he's made mistakes - at least he is trying to rectify it. Think long term, lets not react like this after a poor away performance - at least that's consistent.

Nail on the head there. Damed if he does, Damed if he doesn't.

I think it's clear the club are trying to build for next season now, this season is a write off but try telling that to the loyal supporters who pay good money week in week out to watch the dross being serve up.
The club should in all fairness be laying on transport for away games as a thanks for going and supporting the team whilst we are in this transitional period.
Haven't been for a while now but pals that do go most games, home and away, just can't see what sort of game plan JFH is trying to install into the team and that has to be a worry. He's been here 3/4 months and still we don't look like we know what we are doing.
