In my book when you go away the team is always under the kosh, us the fans need to raise our game in order to assist the team and instill some self belief especially at the current time as our management team seem bereft of such a thing. Support the team from the off, as Alanwycombe says we do not expect to win every game especially away from home but sometimes, just sometimes, following improved performances you'd expect better effort from the players than what we saw yesterday.
I went to MKD when we played them in the cup, 9000 R's reported to be there and yet only 150 or so stood and sang (just behind the goal), yesterday was worse. The Spurs game in question was in fact the third away game v Spurs in recent years, we only took the top tier allocation of 1900 and it was dire from the off, no support, my brother, eldest son and I were asked on three occasions during the first half to sit down and shut up by fellow R's so in the end we did, went down early for a half time beer, second half support was even worse only brightened up by the incident with the Palestinian flag man!(need some distraction when your 4-0 down!)
Not sure what the answer is long term other than the team winning more and the feel good factor returning.
Fans that travel away frequently approach the day differently than those who go occasionally, the match is often just a small part of the day, meting up with mates, maybe a train journey, a few beers, something to eat, having just a laugh on a day away from normal life is what its all about, others I expect travel away on a few times each season expecting to win with Barcelonaesq football.
Just my opinionQPR

Or the horror of endlessly losing Harry's bonus games away last season....... Cumulatively punches in the face by team and management aren't conducive to cheering your lungs out. Only those who inhabit the playground playing QPR top trumps are likely to do that...... Especially, as I say, if you have yet to be persuaded that Jimmy can rebuild the team.Last edited by Shania; 06-03-2016, 11:06 AM.QPR

The fact that, as Sotonsuperhoop says in another thread
Lets face it we all know what's going to happen next week, 4 local derby wins in the last 47, we will lose, hope I'm wrong, but hey JFH is here to stay
might explain to all but the Top Trump players on here why folk are, such we say, a little glum.

Transition is having one p iss poor left back as the only defender on the bench. Then, when a centre back is injured, the right back playing left back moves to right back and the centre back playing right back moves to the centre, so one enforced change results in three changes....... Why wasn't Hill on the bench? Transition is shifting Luongo to no10 where he can't play (and says so) from the middle where he can play. And moving Chery from no10 where he can play to the wing where he can't.

Fell out with our away support when I was given a front row seat at West Ham last season , when the game KO'd I had to sit down & have a worms eye view cos according to the steward I was talking to we were the only club he can remember coming & not standing! I put it down to an ageing fan base .

Sh!t football. It's not rocket science.
The other week, Ipswich at home I think? We had a goal scoring chance after 35 secs. Crowd was instantly up and voiceferous and it pretty much continued all game. You get a chance or some really good play and again the crowd responds.
We have played such poor quality football over a period of time, of course that's going to make the crowd flat. Yes the crowd should get behind the team, naturally, but if people are fed dross over and over again it will take its toll and we're now at that point.

I was at the brum game and the atmosphere there was the best I'd heard in a while, really loud for the most part!
It'll get louder as time goes on and the club re-establishes itself, the club has been an absolute laughing stock for god .... 5+ years at least so I guess its pretty understandable for fans to just give up, especially after the team has. This time next year I'd like to imagine that we'll be in a stronger position than we are now, both on and off the field and IMO there's a good chance of that, sure JFH lost but performences have certainly picked up

And is transition changing the way we played against Brum, where we actually looked like a team getting somewhere at last, to the hopeless pattern of play we were supposed to go bananas over yesterday?
No, that looks strange. "issues" like this should be asked on the forthcoming fans forum.QPR
