The only problem is you can't teach a poor 1st touch. I think as a top class striker it won't be good enough to play at a higher level.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

No, that´s true Weare, but you can improve your first touch. Which is nice.

Same problem as we had with Charlie - and I'm NOT making any comparisons here - but he's always got his back to goal instead of putting him in going forwards. He'll be a better player when we can pass a ball to feet and beat a defender with a pass.

His first touch is not perfect but it's not dire either. I've seen him kill some really awkward balls (his goal against Brighton is an example) but then seen some bounce off him

May never have killer first touch but with practice practice and more practice it will get better. Suppose we will see if he has desire to stay longer working on his touch or if he will shoot off home end of training

Jamie Vardy is 29 and not had many years of success.

I think he'll prove a lot of you wrong.

He needs to play with Washington to get the best out of of each other.

These two could become a force next season.

poltergeist means pounding ghost, so I assume polter means pounding.

A better organised QPR will bring the best out of every player, Polter included.

Good point. It's not as if we've had any success in the past with strikers that didn't fully develop until their mid twenti... Oh, hang on...

Wait for their response "Oh he was scoring consistently before he came to us" So did Seb last season when given a chance.

To be a 'top player' and a 'top striker' are 2 very different things. To be a top player you need to have a good pass/1st touch/tackle/dribbling skill/take on players etc etc etc. To be a top striker you just need to find the back of the net (a lot) imo.... look at Crouch- talll and clumsy and certainly no world beater but could score a fair few goals.... If JFH can teach The Polt a few things, imho he could well become a top striker for us, and that'll do me nicely!
                              SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

We do have this habit of writing players off, Helguson and Furlong spring to mind in recent years and look how they then progressed at Rangers ! Polter has had more good games than bad and next year we could see an even better player.
