Oh remember Simon Osborne..... what a waste of money he was...

But what happened to Matthew Brazier? Is he still playing for anyone?

Morrow was good for Arsenal, but the moment he dislocated his arm jumping on Tony Adams, he became s.hite and thats when he moved to us.

Tony Scully was one of my all time bad players, he was totally useless. Along with Rowland from West Ham

sadly we got hatley after he'd already been knee-capped by a glaswegian gangster who caught hatley tucking one in the back of the net with his mrs. when he came to us he was slower than a c5. there was no point him tracking back because the ball would have been up and down to both penalty areas several times before he wd have got there once. absolutely knackered he was. Smacked of a Wilkins old pals act, which I've always felt hard to forgive as its taken us over a decade to recover from his wasting that Ferdinand money.

Morrow - better than many give him credit for. The villains of that era were Houston and, in particular, Bruce Rioch. Put us back just soooooo many years.

Anyway - Morrow banged in a 35 yard screamer on his debut at Bolton at their old place. Terrific goal.

I don't think Morrow was as bad as some make out!! Yes he was slow and I'm not saying for one moment he was great but he gave his all unlike a lot of previous players!! Also Tony Scully at least had a bit of pace and skill...again definitely not the worst player we have had down there!! Plus why the hell would you slate Matthew Rose???? Yes he was injury prone but was a very decent player on his day.
Players like Keith Rowland, Ian Dowie, Brett Angel, Mark Hately, Steve Lomas, Paul Bruce and Matthew Brazier...well the less said of them the better!!! IMO

I am sure i have read somewhere on another MB that the point per game ratio that Houston and Rioch had was pretty good? Anyone know?:what:

It's possible - but the untold damage they inflicted on the confidence, morale and psyche of the players and admin at that time is much harder to quantify.
