  • Season Tickets - 2016/17

    Hi all,

It's very rare that I come on here and complain about the board, but with the season ticket prices being announced for next season, I'm starting to feel somewhat disillusioned.

The Loyalty Window prices were announced a while back now, but I've only just got round to looking into them, and they're more expensive than this season's - which to me is plain wrong. Furthermore, there's an expected 30% rise in price once the loyalty window ends.

How can a club that is doing whatever it can to cut costs (staff, and more importantly, players) have the cheek to charge an inflated price, and spin is as "great value for money"?

Have any season ticket holders bought their tickets ahead of next season yet? Whilst I support the club through thick and thin, having to fork out more than this season, when the quality has been below par, seems like a real kick in the teeth.

I doubt any kind of letter to club will change anything, but definitely needed somewhere to vent this morning.

    Cheers all

This discussion has been done to death already.

    Yes i have renewed.

Not a dig at you pal, but does amaze me when people moan at the board and slate them for not making a profit and call it a circus for losing money, then go ape sh!t when ticket prices are upped.

    both go hand in hand.

renewing mine and the boys Season ticket is a little over inflation this year for me, so im not too bothered. Was always going to renew regardless really and having to do it a bit earlier doesn't really matter.

Feel for the younger lot who might have to save for a fair few months to afford it and have now had the deadline squeezed.

Mine's gone up £16 and the kids have gone up £6. Hardly breaking the bank. Plus its probably a bit late to start moaning about season ticket prices when they've been out for a few months now....

It's a very bad move from the club IMO.

I am all for an early bird loyalty offer and totally understand a window for a discounted ticket so the club can get some money in early doors, however, the fact our that our seats will be up for grabs if we don't renew by the end of March is wrong IMO. We usually have until the end of June to renew and guarantee our seat for next season, wanting us to commit so early doesn't sit well with me.

Don't get me wrong, I will renew before the end of March, but think the club have gone about it in the wrong way.

The actual cost of my ticket isn't a great issue, hardly gone up tbf.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Yes, I am not one to moan but they got this one wrong for sure.
To be fair to the OP he does explain that he has only just realised about it.

I do agree with this though. Think we should have got until the end of the season at least.

The OPs main gripe is cost though and I think the prices are fairly reasonable considering. Plus apparently they're going to extend the loyalty window according to Fernandes.

Scares over mate. So fret no more. Fernandes has listened to the supporters yet again and the early bird offer will become the late bird offer.

Nothing logically wrong with the Board trying to milk you now that they have squandered everything they had
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

Didn't someone up above say 16 quid increase on his, that's about 50 pence to a pound a game. That's a proper milking. Don't know how people stand for such extorniate daylight robbery.

It's more the principle than the exact cost - I don't understand why they increase the costs when budgets are being cut elsewhere throughout the club.

Don't get me wrong, I'll no doubt end up renewing, it's just frustrating to see.

Of course they are going to extend the E/B , they were stupid to introduce it this early with the dross that's been served up , surely they've got the savvy to realise sales are going to be slow , I'd have thought anybody with an ounce of business sense would have given the fans time to rekindle their appetite to football after this seasons debacle

It'll be extended as a grand total of 112 season tickets have been sold for next season apparently!

Stupid move that doesn't sit well with me considering the dross that's been served up and the awful running of the club.
