Hubs I'm not defending anybody HR certainly was'nt the success we hoped he would be , that 3.5.2 he wanted to play was reliant on Rio Ferdinand but we all found out at a later date Rio had other things to worry about

Very sad about what he had to go through but the reality was his legs had gone and harry just used his little black book of senior citizens
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm sure he would agree now, would have been better for him to retire at the top rather than limping on with us

Who cares. It's three points for a win at home and away. Would rather get the points home anyway. And he got rid of many many bad signings Hughes made if you don't remember.

Who cares? It's the reason we got relegated FFS!

With the singular exception of Warnock what went before and has come after HR has been dire. We'll see how good JFH is by the end of next season (if he lasts that long in our managerial merry go round).....the only certainty is that changing managers frequently is a really bad idea and a lot more likely to fail than succeed.

Sorry, I'll try to explain this in simple terms. In football you don't get relegated because of away games only. You also count points gained at home! This may sound surprising, but its true. I think your dad can confirm this. Ramsey won us two away games, but did we survive? No, because he only won one home game. Redknapp won us five.

Thanks for the patronising boll0cks - are you simply not able to grasp that losing an incredible 11, ELEVEN consecutive away games - a top flight record - was what sunk us? How many teams do you think would have recovered from that disgraceful record? Yes mate, it's about points, and by mid-January, Redknapp hadn't got a single one away. August to January. Zero away points. With his modest home tally, 19 points from 13 home games, it was hardly likely to be enough, was it?

19 points from 12 games, which was decent and 9 points more than Leicester had. But that home form would not have been enough if we had we lost all 19 away games. Three away wins would have been needed.

Hubble I get your point here and I get Timmy's. Personally think having the away record set a poor precedent and led to confidence issues for the players. Wins anywhere count the same but having a clear record never helps the player's mentality. Same thing happened with Hughes after the no win run we went through and even before that with Hughes in the other direction when we went with the Win one Lose one at the end of the season which ultimately kept us up. Records and some known consistency will always play a part in the back of players heads and I think the poor away run contributed poorly to our downfall last season.
