  • What do fans want?

Some people on here want players who play for the shirt and put in a shift. Players that seem to care as opposed to mercenaries. Ones that show the club and fans some respect. Good old fashioned traditional values.

In Jamie Mackie and BFG we have two players who do exactly that. Not the most able but do their best and show some respect. Yet some fans would rather they never pull on the shirt again as they are not the most technically able. Suggestions fans turn up at the players' car park and give them what for. What is it those fans would say to players like this? They get picked and do their best, can we expect any more?

    So what do people want?

    They want to complain.

Players playing for the shirt of the standard of smithies, hall and conner please.

Throw in the likes of mackie and Polter too. We are building foundations for the first time in years and it's not going to all come together over night. We are fianlly doing it the right way and I expect more decent signing along the lines of the three I mentioned earlier in the summer which again will put us in a good position.

If we do it this way hopefully the next time we go up we can compete like Bourne, out and palace have done recently.

Great to have players with a bit of passion but they have to have some impact on the game.

Rallying the crowd every 10 minutes isn't enough for a first XI start in my book !

Thank you, people complained about mackie being dire and a lot of them (not all) were the same people talking about the pride they had in him giving his all for the badge.

What I want is a decent ref at matches.

Wrong. I'd like nothing to complain about. How can you feel like not complaining when you see a professional, Championship team dish up a first half like Saturday? What do we want, people voting with their feet? Better to have a debate on here, where no one takes any notice anyway, and then turn up again next week.

This. I'm getting sick of happy clapping tbh.

Right Mr Grumpy. Who do you refer to when using the term "happy clapper"?

I've been fed up since our first relegation season. All I have seen is various managers and players turning up with virtually no other motive than collect their ridiculous wages. Seen very little in terms of entertainment, desire, determination, discernable progress or a sense of wanting to play for the fans.

But some of us do at least try to find positives in a m o n g s t the car crash of what seems to be a constantly recurring nightmare. What annoys some of us are those that almost ALWAYS have something to be critical of, regardless of whether there is any justification, along with those that persist in attacking the same people over and over again for the same reason.

Pretty sure we are all aware that the owners have made more than their fair share of mistakes, but as an example, Tony Fernandes was criticised the other day for tweeting that our last inexcusable performance was embarassing and nowhere near good enough. If all sense of balance and perspective gets lost, then any valid concerns, frustrations and observations start to exhibit a distinct sense of trolling. By all means posters should have a moan and whinge. But when it's the same one it tends to lose it's relevance.
