WOOHOO I knew it haha.
Ok I jest here, he's good but surely there have been much better? He's got the potential to be well above this level though."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

Tbf, I think we underrate him a bit. Maybe because of his price tag?
I don't think he is a worldbeater by any stretch, and I wish he could be a bit more consistent, but I think he is a good player, especially at this level.
Theoretically speaking, if he was a lad we paid £1m for from League 1 this season (i.e. no £8m bids supposedly rejected in the summer) we would probably all be raving about him. However, after the back end of last season and the form he produced and the supposed £8m bid we rejected, I think we all expect him to be tearing the league up week in week out.
As for FL POTY; no way. Only been in the FL for 5 months of this year. Surely somebody from Boro or Derby would be more worthy of winning that?
EDIT: reading the link it seems to be awards only for London clubs and he is only up against McCormack, Dembele, Alan Judge and Jay Simpson?!You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

This 100%. He's on course for 10 goals this season imo without even trying. The lad is frustrating because he is a good player and I think most QPR fans would agree at times he just hasn't looked interested this season. However when he wants to play and is up for it he often provides that bit of quality we have lack. Let's remebr he played up top a lot this season and he isnt a striker which meant he got a lot of unfair grief.
However I have noticed last 2 3 games that he looks more settled and up for it. I think the atmosphere and new approach at the club might be having a positive impact on him and if he's up for it he's one of the best wingers in the league and could quite easily finish on 10-15 goals and 5-10 assists.
Hoilett who everyone is raving about wont get near that playing the best season of his life according to some while matty is just in 1st or second gear right now.
