Indirectly he did because he's previously stated the reasons for "getting rid of him".

Luongo, Hall, Polter, Smithies all brought in with Les there and all doing really well in the team.
Exactly, JFH clearly has a say in who we bring in. I think its more a case of Les agreeing its the type of player we want and making sure the finances work out.

Unfortunately too many stubborn people to ever change their mind about LF. Does make me chuckle after a bad result people want him sacked.

Hindsight makes everything clearer. At the time we had just gone through Hughes followed by 'Arry, two big name managers who had not worked out. Ramsey had a good reputation as a coach, intelligent guy and apparently good at dealing with players. I was happy enough to try something different and give him a go. Didn't work out but sometimes don't. At the time supported the decision.

Whilst I applaud their hard work around their youth development, I would seriously hope we are nowhere near as "successful" as Crewe playing-wise....22nd in League 1

Seen a lot of moaning about Les, but can't see how anyone can disagree with what he says here.
Agree Ginge. The board and Les deserve high praise for this January - They won't get it on here but they do deserve it.

Hardly Les' fault that we've gone down the route of employing a DOF is it?

Personally I'd also sooner have a decent manager who chooses the players we sign. That said we gave Redknapp and Hughes (both decent managers apparently, or so we thought) carte blanche in the transfer market and look where that got us.

But of course, we all love a scapegoat don't we?!!

To me it now looks like QPR is on itīs way to be a solid and financially sound football club again. Gone are hopefully the days were we could burst like a bubble anytime.
