That game had everything for me and something that that is rarely seen at LR nowadays.

If we could play the best teams in the league every week with our backs against the walls we'd be promotion certs.

Milk Cup QF at LR v Chelsea in January '86. 27,500 (officially) - unofficially many more. The place was electric and exploded when Byrne put us ahead and again when Nevin equalised.

Atomosphere against Oldham was muted and expectant until Furlong scored and then the old place rocked the most it has in a long long while.

Honourable mention to the roof lifting off when Sansom banged that one in v the Arsenal in the cup replay in the ****ing rain too and the FA Cup QF v Palace when Allen scored in the last minute

        Away from LR

Spurs 5 Arsenal 1 in the Carling Cup a couple of years back. You could feel the foundations of old White Hart Lane shake.

You need the low lows to REALLY appreciate the high highs. Innit.

You're spot on about that Milk Cup game, electric, just crackling. And just thinking about it again vividly reminds me how special our ground can be for thsoe floodlit matches. Nearest we've come to anything similar in recent times was that Brum game for the last 30 mins last season....can't recall going nuts like that for a good few years.

League cup semi replay at Highbury against villa was another big low.

Considering we won the toss to see what neatral ground we played at, thought yeesss got this one wraped.....:shame:

Best atmosphere at a Rangers game for me has to be Oldham, you could feel a buzz as soon as you arrived in Shepherds Bush let alone LR. But the best atmosphere i have experienced at a sporting event has to be Nigel Benn vs Gerald McClennen. I know it ended tragically but during the fight the noise was mind-blowing, and there was only 14000 there.

Barry McGuigan v Pedrosa at Loftus Road was a bit tasty too.

                          The old place rocked.
