Huws has had a storming start to the season for Huddersfield. As Awin's post shows, the series of events happening at Wigan makes this move almost a certainty hopefully and we will be better off for it. Already in 20 starts playing a deep role, he has 5 goals and 3 assists, 3 of those goals being set pieces with one assist also being a free kick.
According to whoscored.com, his strengths are his long shots, dribbling, taking set pieces, direct free kicks and ball interceptions. He has no significant weaknesses on display this season. He also gets fouled often and is a big threat from indirect set pieces. He seems to be a very similar player to faurlin, standing at 181cm, making roughly the same amount of tackles and interceptions per game as Ale. What I hope to see is him learning more from Faurlin as he can become a really good player with the right guidance.
He's currently valued at 1.05mil on transfermarkt.co.uk a valuation made only one month into the season. Hopefully the sort of signing we'd need to keep Henry out of the side."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane
