Think its more his salary than anything else. Can see him sitting tight until summer, dont think he'll have an issue finding another club.

dunno... i would have thought we'd be happy to pay a share of his wages for the rest of the season. makes no sense to pay him £50k for just doing training and being emergency cover, may as well stump up half of that for him to be somewhere else.

Lumley certainly isn't worse than Green. Plus he is younger so that would put him in front of Green for me even if currently would be even in goal.
Mate, Green has been poor this year and he has had his time. But there is no way on earth that Lumley is better than Green. He has played 1 game and cost us a goal. Yes, one day he might be a great keeper, but no way can it be said that he is better than Green at the moment.

That aside, I hope we shift Green from the wage bill today.

Don't think Rob Green is your classic sit on his ass and rake the money in footballer. This is from 2008, but suspect Green has more about him than that http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/f...fe-865856.html

I would say deffo played his last game, they don't want to offer him a new contract even in the summer at a reduced rate with Smithies Lumley and the new guy from Wycombe there's no place for green nowand people are correct that if he plays 30 games we have to offer him a years extension hence while we won't see him no more

Nothing wrong with Lumley at Forest.

May well have been decent for the most part, not farked up and cost us a goal. When Green done that he was slated.

Again, don't want to start splitting hairs, I'm sure he will be a good keeper, just simply saying there is no chance, as we stand today, that he is better than Rob Green.
