Infact fer Phillips and hoilett imo can all do one all 3 havent exactly set the world on fire since joining us
The fair weather fan that you are, I can imagine you'd think the only player who was worth keeping at this club went to Southampton last week.

Indeed he has, but remember Fer had come out of an injury and as I said, hasn't been in the best form. Irrespective, he is 100% more talented than Chery and while obviously I'd love for Chery to succeed, the proportionality of success he'd have is nothing compared to what Fer could achieve.
What Fer could achieve? He has not done nothing.. Your talking about him like he is a world beater.
I remember I questioned the Chery buy, I was holding my judgement. You were raving about him. Just think it's a bit sad that you want him out the door.
When we signed him I was actually over the moon, thought it was a real coup.... Thought he did ok last season and seemed to get injured just as he was hitting his peak. I thought he would be off in the summer and again was over the moon when he stayed thinking he would tear up the division but it just hasn't happened and he's in fact been pony this season. I get that he's been injured but its January and he's been poor the whole time.
I want a 25year old Shaun Derry back at Qpr, now there's a player that ate up the Championship like Fer should be doing, bloke was a free and I was gutted when we signed him thinking he was an over the hill nobody. How strange things work out eh?
Comparing Shaun with Fer is foolish. Shaun gives a s hit. Fer doesn't know how to give a s hit it seems. It's a tragedy he doesn't given his obvious talent. Something's wrong with the fella. Folk in the stand appreciate effort. Effort is easy. That is why we loved Derry.

hey 77. I wasn't comparing Derry and Fer that would be a bit silly.... I was on about expectations and how they change, sorry if that didn't come through. The fact I was over the moon at Fer signing and last August tbf when he didn't leave but he just hasn't done it for me, and Derry wh I was fuming when we signed but turned out to be as good as any midfielder we've had for 20 years.

Start reading my posts, don't want him out, but wouldn't be upset if he left. I had a lot of faith in what I saw last season, especially set piece wise and as we've all seen, they've primarily been awful.
Also, I'm talking about him like he could be a world beater, which I think he can be. He has the physical attributes required to go to a top side and the technical ability to match but needs to develop his confidence.
Also, using a double negative makes your point moot.

And apparently, they don't notice effort mixed with talent. It's how Mackie has made a living (all credit to him). I for one, appreciate talent over effort. As you say, effort is easy, talent is limited to a select few. Show faith in someone talented and watch them put in the effort. Unfortunately, I've seen fans insult Fer (and Phillips) for trying to use their talent. Tell me how that's going to make them want to put in effort.

Makes sense Bakes. Attitude can't be taught. The Derry's of this world have something special us fans appreciate. Fer, for all his natural talent, hasn't the right attitude. I suspect he never will. Fer obviously wants to do well. He celebrates when we score, but he's no battling balls like Shaun, Clint, Ned or Joey. Won't go for a PB. Coasts.
Indeed I did, the first line there is referencing Chery, second line is Fer.

Yes they do. You abuse your fellow fans thinking that. Play for the team. Dig deep. Work hard. Track back as you've been told. Which includes training hard. Everyone has an off day, but your hero has off years. Which is why he's a total liability and should be got rid off. No one would be happy than me if Fer proved me wrong, but I know his type. He will never out in a regular consistent performance.

Track back? I just showed the stat that proves he does the defensive work, makes more tackles than any of our centre backs and intercepts once a game as well. And what makes you think he's been told to track back? He's probably been told to conserve his energy for attacking plays, make useful challenges high up the pitch and leave our defensive players to do the defending. Not everyone is Jamie Mackie in tracking back and we'd have no front line if they were. You in particular have complained primarily about two things, one being his invisibility in attack and one being his defensive work. I've gotten every single number available to me proving that wrong. I've been to every home game this season and last and I can tell you from my eyes that you're not correct on this front based on what I've seen (not that I'm doubting that you go to every game ofc mate). I even watch every game the next day on player after reading all the stats. I get that I won't prove to you that he can be a huge success with the right support, but I can prove to you that he does the things that you don't believe he does.
