Update: Just spoke to my old man. He has just spoken with the lead nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at the Queen's hospital up in Nottingham. As my dad is not next of kin they cannot give a huge amount of information understandably. He will definitely be in there a number of days. Alan's sister has been informed as she will be his next of kin. Just have to make sure we have our thoughts and prayers with Alan. Keep strong, Barnsey. We're all thinking of you big man.First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

To lighten the mood a little at least Barnsey was tucked up in a warm bed when the LSA Mini Bus broke down on the M1 coming home from Nottingham in the early hours and I got two whole hours sleep before going out of the door to work
Seriously though in all my many years of following QPR I dont think I have ever not seen Alan at a game and I of course wish him the speediest recovery possible

Hi there everyone.
It's Jonathan here Zena's son. Alan's wife of 25 years.
Thank you all so very much for your kind words and prayers.
As much as I am family ...QPR supporters are family to Alan too.
So I will try and update you here as and when.
Alan's condition as of late last night is the same as when he was admitted and as far as I can understand whatever treatment he received at the scene it didn't involve any resuscitation and he is and has remained conscious throughout though very 'groggy'. The hospital is monitoring him in intensive care and we hope to understand more this morning.
It was a very nasty accident and there are complications as to be expected.
But I'm told it is "survivable".
Thank you again for your continued thoughts and prayers.
Jonathan
Latest.
My sister is there this morning and he is stable
I've only posted here once or twice but read everyday.
Not sure how it works or who,is who from usernames but feel free to message me privately if you know me and though I can't promise ...I'll try and and get back to you at some point and at least provide a point of contact.
