Amazing atmosphere lol you ain't been for a while have you

For me it doesn't matter whether the atmosphere is like it was during or Championship season or very quiet like it was on Saturday it's how you personally feel inside about going to watch the team you love (whoever it is) and the feeling you get from actually being in a place where everyone waits on baited breath for the same outcome. I still get the same goosebumps going now than i did as a kid in the early 70's doesn't matter who we're playing or how we're playing. There isn't many things on a week to week basis that can give you that buzz and butterfly feeling you get from travelling to games in anticipation of getting a win and seeing your heroes play (no matter how old you are). I think that's why we football fans keep going back. And still many will never understand that.
