Sorry if I'm missing something but I thought you were pushing for us to sign Washington (I know League 1 before anyone says anything).
If you're unhappy about Ingram the not sure why. He will be our reserve keeper and to have played almost 150 games by the age of 22 in the football league as a keeper is worth a punt in my opinion so no need to be upset about it.
i was. but i also posed the question, would nakhi wells have been a better buy for the same price. proven championship player.

He might have been but we have Washington who could have the same impact as that player Burnley bought from league 1 Swindon a few years ago. All transfers are gambles and Wells hasn't exactly been a 20 goal a season man in the championship.
I just don't get this constant sniping (not saying just you but a few on here) at every decision we do in relation to signings. We went the big name route which obviously didn't work and cost us a lot of money and people were moaning that we should scout young players from lower leagues and now we are doing that people are still moaning about that.
Personally for me this season should be about playing the younger players who will have a future at the club and not your Koncheskys. In the summer we should try and get some premier league players on loan if need be to supplement the team as I agree signing just league 1/2 players is a recipe for disaster but a few of the highly rated prospects is a good decision.

good points made there and i totally agree with you. as you said, i was promoting the washington signing. i see nothing wrong myself regards signing 1 or 2 lower league players but if memory serves me correctly, this season we have signed 7 players who were playing in leagues lower than ourselves.
yes, we done a ton on "big time" players and now we are at the other end of the scale. but 2 years ago, we signed a couple of players who were in the same league as us and who we benefited from...... austin and philips. this i believe is the right path to take if we want to challange for promotion next season.
