Complete flop at Palace who have very little talent in the main number 9 role. Looked like a fish out of water whenever i saw him. hardly had any football for half a season so would have thought sitting on a prem bench is the last thing he needs.

Ah well, not overly bothered by this one, want us to sign someone on a perm instead.

Really not sure we want him though Shania. We are very unlikely to be making a promotion push this season and so bringing in a loan player for 19 games - who would take the place of a player who we own and who will be playing next season is counter productive.

Personally it feels like wasted money and a bad signal to the players in that position.

Agree with this, Awin. not a player will be able to buy. He would ofcourse(probably) raise the level during our training sessions and set a standard, But we should of course look out for players we can sign on a perm now

i still hope but even if we are in with a chance signing a player on loan for a position in which we have two (three if you include jet) new players competing for the 1 or 2 positions is bad practice.

I said in another thread the reason it hasn't happened is due to Bamford waiting for a Premier League club. If that doesn't materialise then don't be surprised to see him here for the last 3 months.

Don't really understand transfer policy of the club. Going for Bamford (short term fix), going for some out of work 29-year-old Italian defender expressly as a temp right back until the end of the season (short term fix with bells on). Surely better to find someone promising and get them integrated in time for the new season, or struggle on with Perch and co who are nothing special but already at the club and on the payroll.

Not sure Bamfors is yet good nough for the prem. Could thrive from througballs from a rejuvenated Chery or even Hoilett IMO.

My understanding was that he could not go to a Premier League club. He can only go to a football league on a so called "emergency" loan.
