Neither is gonna happen is it Kev. We're not catching the 10points on top 6 and were not going down so whats the point in a loan for no purpose?

The short-termism of some people on here is crazy. How about instead of giving a Chelsea reserve a shirt for 6 months we actually give it to one of our own players to develop. Ie. Polter, Ie. Washington.

You really can't give up like that mate, what's the point of going.
By your thinking we won't win saturday cos if we do we will get nearer the play offs and that ain't going to happen, so might as well stay home and keep warm.

Am I the only one that doesn't care if we have 2/3 loan players as long as it improves us?? Also we are more likely to sustain a promotion push next season if we finish top 8 this season.

          Utter ########.

If you're so certain we're gonna win every game till the season end, put a wedge on at the bookies you'll make a fortune. The board clearly don't think we're going to the play-offs, hence flogging Austin.

It's all about playing to the percentages. I'd give us a 5% chance of promotion and about 5% chance of relegation from here, meaning we're gonna stay put in all probabilities. So why wouldn't u plan for next season?

TBH there are any number of examples of epic charges and spectacular collapses. Whilst promotion bit of a longshot bit early to write off altogether. A few wins, which is a tall order on current form (second half at Rotherham aside), would see us not far off the play off pack. Get within a few points and anything could happen.

That's called short-termism. And how is us finishing 8th with a team of loanees gonna mean we have a better shot at promotion next season? Completely made-up.

Playing players that will be here next season will give us a better chance of going up next season. That's the bottom line.

Cole Kpekawa said it himself, may as well go on loan to Orient because you improve as a player playing competetive games, not sitting on the bench or playing reserve/U21 football.

Would be a top top signing on loan view to a permanent. Polter Bamford and Washington equals goals.another winger and left back is promotion next year with a decent young squad. Ship out fer and Sandro in the summer and green replace with younger and we are set.

I agree. Has to be a permanent, or loan with option... That's not what I'm ranting about

Bookmarked mate. Some good players coming in and the manager starting to show the team how to play = a lot more chance of scraping into the play offs than going onto the relegation spots. Oh and we don't have to win every game, just win more than lose. We ain't 50 points of play offs.

I don't see why people don't think we still have a chance of promotion. Brighton have been in free fall, Sheff will drop off and I think Derby's form has started to tail off while we're on the up. 3 Real chances to take the initiative. Only teams outside the top 6 who are really taking their initiative are Ipswich and Birmingham so we might as well challenge as well. Why not boost our chances, just as HR did when we got promoted last time.

Totally agree. No point loaning players this season. Should try and play our own. buy a few players & build for next season.

I'm not saying promotion is impossible, I'm saying it's very unlikely and it is, considering our own board think we're not gonna make it, hence selling our best player.

.....Anyways... Point is, Bamford is a decent player and would be a good signing if it's either a Perm or loan to perm agreement. Bringing him in on loan and sticking Polter or Washington on the bench and/or further keeping Chery out the side is fkin madness. IMO.
