If the money is right he's gone, and this season he's played like he thought he had gone in the summer

Maybe we rejected the money, maybe he rejected Boro, but I hope Les/JFH have 'irons in the fire' for when he gets a £7m Prem call on deadline day

Actually we have cover for him in Mackie and Petrasso, so why not get a decent right back with the Phillips money instead

Why not get a decent replacement ( not mackie) in Adomah and get some cash as well for a right back

Why? Who cares where he goes? We are not going up, so we should utilise our assets by getting as much for them as possible.

Because someone could pip us to 13th with Phillips in the team.

He would suit Palace, IMO. Sadly, I´m not sure he wants to stay with us any longer.

Hah! Exactly. It really doesn't matter now who turns out for us till the end of the season. If it has to be Jamie "lets run it out of play" Mackie, so be it. Completely lost interest in this season, as it seems have the players...

Think most have, what is important now is building a squad ready for next season. That's why this half of the season is important.

We are now on the road to recovery, new young players are just in the process of being brought in, and yet people are sulking. You couldn´t make it up. Just my opinion. I´ll give in.

Not read the thread but Sky are saying we want £9m for Philips. With so many clubs after him, I can see us getting that fee come deadline day. Be brilliant business if we manage it.

We've got a real chance to finally build a squad that we're proud of this January/summer by bringing in around £20m in fees and saving millions in wages by outgoing players. We've said it time and time again but this really is our chance to rebuild and hopefully the powers that be have learnt from their mistakes.

                            Chaz £4m
                            Matty £9m
                            Fer £5m
                            Sandro £2m

Add Green and Hoilett leaving and you're saving roughly a million a month in wages.

Fair play mate. If Green goes it will be on a free to get him off the books

Would throw a party if we got £5mil for Fer mate and cry if Sandro went for £2mil as that would be a £6mil loss in just over 12months

Suppose we got fee for caulker too but assume we had to reimburse Southampton or if we were negotiating Austin at time got them to write it off if they wanted Austin

who in their right mind would pay 9 mil for philips?

this will end exactly the same as the summer transfer window. no buyers and an unhappy player on our books.
