My opinion on it is that if we bring in someone who should be getting first team football but is not getting it because of the form of everyone else, it will upset the balance in the dressing room. Someone who knows their place is a bench role makes more sense to me but I wouldn't really be disappointed either way, just would rather the fast offensive mid.

I have no doubt this will be the case, but my priority would be someone who we can bring into the first team with a knowledge that they can take a spot and make it their own without upsetting the balance of the squad. For me, that first call of order should be a foil to play just deeper than Polter week in, week out, as opposed to another striker who will be demanding to play when Polter is constantly getting the goals,

What a relief! Polter is doing fine and can only improve. Soon he will be our top scorer.

Anyway, back to topic, he's certainly shut his critics up for a bit. Long may that continue

This. Second half today, according to comms, shows that playing positive, attacking football is what you need to do. First half was seemingly woeful though. It ought not be forgot.

Hoilett's been doing well recently in that position. If he is only trying because he wants a contract we should use that to our advantage and keep playing him there
