  • Motta Deal Close.

Last week the media were predicting that Motta will sign for us by last Thursday. Nothing been officially confirmed just yet. Or I missing something?

I read somewhere that he should play in a U-21 last week. Salt, pinch and all that ofcourse..

Is he really a player for the long term project? I hope so but doesn't sound like it

No he's not. But we all know that we have a problem at right back and he may be a good short term solution. As things stands, we cannot experiment. Experience is important right now.

Why not? Unlikely to go down and no chance of going up

This seems to be the last confirmed news but this a week ago now so unsure if it has all fallen through. Celtic offered him a contract back in November as well. I think he can do a really solid job for us if he is in good shape.

i wouldnt be too complacent about staying up now that Austin has been sold. There is also the possibility of Phillips Fer and Sandro being sold. Until the window closes we don't know what state the squad will squad. There arecplenty of points to win or lose.

i wouldnt be too complacent about not making the play offs now that Washington has been brought. There is also the possibility of Phillips Fer and Sandro being sold which will benefit us cos we will be playing players who want to play for us.... Until the window closes we don't know what state the squad will be. There are plenty of points to win or lose.

19 games left yet as well and 11 points away from 6th.
                      It's not game over yet.

Did he play in the behind doors game against Chelsea?

One trialist played in that match. It could have been Motta?

Makes sense. A lot of moaning on here about him but if Perch gets injured again or suspended I would rather we had a proper RB to replace him and not break up the Ned/Hall partnership by moving Ned to RB.
