If Green goes (which i don't think he will) we have to play Smithies.

Probably too many other clubs watching him now.

Really should have got him in the last window when we had the chance.
Potentially one of the best keepers outside the Prem.

Be great to get him but unlikely imo.

Green will go nowhere. If manager thinks Smithies is better than Green then Smithies should play.
Bentley would be as risky signing as anyone. We have only seen some penalty saves from him, nothing else.

It is very strange that we may not support our own players according to someone here?

I'm unsure about these lower league English keepers. They all flatter to deceive. Green needs to go but I doubt he wants to and I dunno who we'd replace him with. Is Smithies actually good enough?

On a side note the relentless defence of Green is slightly unnerving.

                  This.

I can't actually see a "relentless defence" of him at all? Most (if not all) fans have accepted he is past his best and costing us a bit and would like to see Smithies given a go. Some are trying to manage expectations by saying that, with our defence, whoever goals in goal following on from Green may not be any better at all. And others (me included) are simply stating that he HAS (in past season) been very good for us. Very odd post to claim there is relentless defending of him.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

                      Agree with Matty and 3London,
I think Green was top 3 goalie when we got promoted, top 10 last season and even covered very well Cesar and should have played instead of him. This season he has been letdown and I think he should be dropped, at least temporarily. That said it is not certain he couldn't play well anymore this season. Remember how bad Mannone was last season and how brilliant he is now?

The way green is playing its time to give Smithies a chance. Even if that acts as a kick up the bum to Green.

Smithies was always nailed on to play at Forest. Unless he has an absolute nightmare, he has to stay in.

Rs shot-stopper believes it's time for Hoops to end dismal Cup run with victory at the City Ground and grind out a Championship win after that

"thats what happens when the chips are down?" is he taking the ####? No rob thats what happens when you can't command your box and pole axe your center half when hes got it covered. Be a man and admit your mistake, people might actually respect that
