Warnock to season end and JFH start afresh next would of been the perfect appointment.

Also: how many moans and groans about playing without a striker and 400 left backs, did we get back then? The lineups NW presented would have caused havoc on here, if it was Chris or Jimmy calling the shots. Not fair IMO.

In the short time NW was in charge we kept clean sheets, it was clear we had a game plan, we were solid, organised and hard to beat. Most importantly he sorted the defence out and built from there. It may not have looked pretty but that wasn't the priority at the time. He instilled confidence and belief back in the side and managed to restore Hoilett's mojo after so many years in such a short space of time. Warnock's experience clearly made a huge difference.
I'm no happy, clappy JFH fan at all (I wanted Pearson) but I would have him over Warnock to take us forward any day of the week.

Anyway reading this forum for the first time briefly in months its the same old comments I've read under a dozen managers at Rangers so I'm going to just look at this statiscally as I don't waste my time at present watching us.
- results under Warnock were better than both CR & JFH, why is that?
- inability to shut up shop / conceding equalisers or losing goals in the final 10 mins
when the season is over the statistical odds that Warnocks time in charge this season would have kept us up are a given

I'm sticking to my guns. I think there was little evidence that JFH was the right man for the job in hand.

2) As has been said many many time, if NW knew he was surplus than of course he's going to go public saying he didn't want it. No one knows what really happened.
3) No self respecting guv'nor is going to put up with our set up (Les, the board), and I suspect NW felt he was perfectly capable of doing just fine without a DoF. So if he really couldn't bear to stay, the set up could have been the reason.
Either way the club chose to take another massive gamble, as was pointed out by many people at the time.

Just watched the highlights. That Blackburn goal was horrendous defending, professional footballers letting the ball bounce?!? Thats total incompetance from the players in my book, JFH can't coach them not to let a ball bounce in the area. I learnt that at about 8 years old. Our players are shite houses end of.

Been over this Warnock situation time and time again.
He didn't want the job permanently - he said so - why people argue this, i dont know.
Extremely short sighted if knowing the above we gave him the job anyway. Would be in the same situation at the end of the season again.
Its so, so simple, but becuase you love the man (yes he done fantastic for us in the past), you cant move on from it.

However even though i'm pro Warnock, JFH still needs more time. To soon to talk about the sack right now. I'd like to see how he does over the next 10 games. Hopefully he can get this elusive win and we get 3 or 4 decent results.
If it continues like this and we keep dropping down the league and find ourselves within 3 or 4 points of teams in the bottom 3 then I hope the club would look to act as by then they would of given 20 games to prove hos worth and the club should't be in that mess.
Dont forget the reason Les made the change was he thought Ramset was under achieving in mid table and that with the players we have at our disposal expectations had changed and a play off push was expected. So to be tangled in any sort of relegation flirtation or bottom 8 team is way of course for what JFH was brought in for.

well
absolute rubbish ramsey is god, this whole thing goes back to gerry francis, when gerry was our manager we went to fifth in the prem but everytime that ray wilkins was interviewed he seemed to have all the answers
and slowly all the fans including me fell in love with wilkins
so although we were heartbroken to lose gerry francis, the thought that ray would take over made us very quickly forget gerry
at first it looked like ray could do the job as he very slightly chaged gerrys team but then he seels ferdinand and buys 6 players with the money
and now as ray wilkins tried to assemble his new look rangers we start losing game after game, i think tony fernades made the same mistake
TALKING TO LES HE FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM AND HE BROUGHT HIM IN AT DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL
but his first ckash of managers was his refusal to give harry redknapp the cash for jermane defoe, then he refused to give us enough money to tempt the big blasck african from tottenham so for the first time in harry redknaps life he was not allowed to buy himself out of trouble
AND WE GOT RELEGATED SO RAMSEY FOR ENGLAND I KNOW YOU LOVE YOUR RANGERS BUT NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN A SITUATION THAT HE WAS GIVEN THE OBVIOUS OFFER OF ONLY WORKING HERE THREE DAYS A WEEK BUT GIVEN A THREE YEAR CONTRACT TO THAT EFFECT
then right now we would still be two points off the play offs and yes we would possibley make the play offs

However are we saying a manager who was brought in because mid table wasn't good enough and we finish bottom 8 with our squad is the right guy to move us forward. I think not.
Jimmy shot to prove he's up to managing a club like ours at this level. We are different animal compared to burton as its to manage a club like utd to us.
It's about levels and at the moment he looks well pit of place. Even if we win at Rotherham that won't change my mind. He needs to show some consistency and show he can manage a team full of players on big money.
