  • Not sure JFH can survive if we fail to win any of the next 3 games, the pressure will be on big time, I have nothing against the man,( but don't think anyone can disagree the football has been dire under him the last 7 games, other than 30 mins against Brighton) but feel we should have let Warnock carry on until the end of the season, He's been our most successful manager in the last 10 years, and looked like he was was putting the team back on solid ground,

100% This Dave. No witch hunt against JFH what so ever. Just looking at the facts and whats in front of us.

JFH was a punt by the board which right now is going terribly wrong. With the way results and performances have been I think its quite natural for fans to look at whats happening and think why the hell did we change things AGAIN when we had a manager albeit temporary who was starting to do the business.

Dont understand the JFH's fan club who seem to be over the moon with this awful football and shocking results. #rightmanforrelegation

I know it is very hard to fathom for a lot of supporters here, but it did appear as though he did not want the job full time, Dave. Here is a quote for you if you should have missed it:

Talksport interview at 5:55: "Neil, obviously being back in the dugout, has it given you a taste to be back into it full time? NW: "No, I don´t...I don´t...I think I´ve done... I´ve served my time - (bloody hell?) - I mean, I´ve had seven promotions, and I have enjoyed every one, uhm with different aspects of it, but I just think I can uhm... I enjoy being around players, and I think that´s my role, you know, ...uhm... if I can help somebody... uhm... around players, I think I can... you know, there´s a... there´s a scope for... I think... at most clubs... for... for somebody like me to come in and help, probably a younger manager, who is... who is not... I am not after the jobs..."

Jesus thats when we had a bloke still in charge of the club. Wasnt going to out him was he?

Do you live in the real world. I wouldn't publicly state to everyone at my job that I want my bosses job unless I was a utter prick.

Warnock wanted the job. When he took over he never once said he didn't and just deflected the question. From pr perspective of course hes got a perfect response for not getting the job or wanting it. Its a win win for warnock.

He either got the job and said it was one last fling he couldnt turn down or when he didnt he falls back on the Ive achieved all this and happy in retirement malarky, wasnt looking for it blah, blah, blah.

I have few sources in media and football and granted not correct all the time but have said before from what I was told he was gutted he didnt get it and he also didnt think JFH was the way forward. To big of a job for him and what QPR need right now.

          • warnock did not want the job on a permanent basis.

Why do people keep saying "we should have given it to warnock"......."lets get warnock back"

First I think you need to calm down, and then get your facts straight, if you are going to talk about the real world, Maids.

The interview is from November 12, here is a clip some of the write up below the audio:

Neil Warnock has told talkSPORT he is not in line for the permanent manager job at Queens Park Rangers, insisting he has only returned to his former club to help while they search for a new boss.

The 62-year-old moved back to Loftus Road in a first-team advisor role last month, but was quickly installed as interim head coach after the sacking of Chris Ramsey.

Warnock was in charge of the side for Saturday’s goalless draw at home to Preston, but insists his return to the dugout is only temporary and that club chiefs have already travelled to meet with chairman Tony Fernandes in Malaysia to discuss potential candidates.

              • No matter who will be in charge this season, this group of players without Austin will finish where we are now.

There is only so much you can do without a striker and a team with no confidence.

                    Fair enough with that.

However if you listen to talk sport regularly you know Warnock is often a guest on the show as a call in or co host. I know he had said the exact same thing when ramsey was still there and in charge.
So apologies if I jumped the gun with the date this quote was taken. Still 100% stand by it was a pr trick and he had nothing to lose by saying it.

If the club had offered him the job he would of come out and just said it was to good to turn down and he couldn't walk away from the club right now. I'm lucky to have good contacts in football and media who all say the same thing.

I know what he said, But they should have approached him to stay until the end of the season, Seeing as he had got them playing/winning again,(and the players seemed to have wanted him to stay if Austin's,Hill, and Hoillett's comments were anything to go by) In that I'm sure he would've said yes especially after bringing in Blackwell too, I've no doubt he would've stayed had he been asked?
we could have the brought in a new man pre season with a chance of having his own players and possibly most of the dead wood gone? With no excuses like this is not my team? if you go to games and I do every game you have to admit the football has been DROSS since JFH took over, there seems to have been no change, I'm not saying I want JFH sacked, but he will struggle to survive if he doesn't win one of the next 3 games? 3 defeats and the noise for his head will be deafening

                          Its just common sense Kev.

He played the whole thing perfectly. Had nothing to lose, played expectation down so it didnt look like a set up by the club when ramsey was in charge.

When the club didnt opt for him he had that to full back onto. He had no need to announce to the world he wanted the job. He just would of looked stupid when they mugged him off for JFH.

He sat back and waited for the club to make their mind up.

Those teams you just listed right now are easily on par with us right now. Hence our results with the likes of Huddersfield and Bristol City. Make no mistake about it, we are in a scrap with all those teams you mentioned and it will come down to the teams who want it more.

I reckon we got more quality but whether we got the fight and right person to lead us into battle is another thing.

Again what positives do you see that jfh is installing? Why are you putting so much faith into this bloke who we ha e gone so far backwards under and shows worst decisions than ramsey made? What makes you think we are going I. The right direction to pull away from trouble? Just the sheer fact you think there are worst teams? You have to earn every point in this league and we don't show many signs right lw that we want to fight.
His record at Burton speaks for itself. Very promising young manager. It hasn't been a great start at all, not saying it has. Started brightly enough, we were much the better side against Brighton and Burnley, and deserved 3 points from each. But since then it's been poor. Without Charlie we have nothing up front, him beING injured hasn't helped at all.
My whole point is that what the club needs and has needed for years is stability. JFH has only worked with the dross already here, and hasn't had a chance to build his own squad. In my opinion he needs this transfer window and the next one, including pre season.
We aren't showing any fight, you're right, we didn't under Ramsey or Warnock either, and that's not something any manager would be able to change within 6 games. The players need a rocket up their arses. I believe that first win under JFH might just relax the players finally and we will see an improvement.
You said maybe we don't have the right person to lead us into battle, well I'm thinking maybe we don't have the soldiers. Let JFH bring his own players in, see how he does this month and in the summer.

Did you know that we had more shots on target in 2 games under JFH than in the entire 4 games Warnock was in charge.
For some reason you (and others) keep missing the point. I don't know how many times this needs spelling out before it sinks in:

In the short time NW was in charge we kept clean sheets, it was clear we had a game plan, we were solid, organised and hard to beat. Most importantly he sorted the defence out and built from there. It may not have looked pretty but that wasn't the priority at the time. He instilled confidence and belief back in the side and managed to restore Hoilett's mojo after so many years in such a short space of time. Warnock's experience clearly made a huge difference.

I agree we looked on the up under NW, even though the football played was hardly inspiring. Just think it is getting a bit tedious with all these "should of(pun intended) kept Warnock" posts, when it was pretty clear that it was never an option.
