No strikers - Who you gonna play? Polter's hardly prolific is he. There is no-one else fit for the job as a number 9 other than Charlie, surely you see this? I'd play no strikers too if I had no one else I thought would score the goals.

Head scratching formations - Not sure what you mean, we've played the same formation all season.

Player selections and Subs - Its all been dependent on whose fit and available, as well as whose trained well all week.

4-5-1 is pony anyway which is another reason why we're in this mess. Negative and boring. But during games it's gone 4-6-0. Should be 4-4-2 with an attitude to try and win. Not play for a draw.polter would have been fine as a striker few weeks backs v Huddersfield. Instead it was Phillips with Lenny Henry playing off him. And the subs....where do I begin. But Best 1 though was at forest 1nil down with 20 mins to go n brings on a left back when we had 2 attackers on bench.

More often than not in fact. Think the "realists" here should pay more attention to reality once in a while.

Ok so its not JFH thats the issue, its the formation that you personally do not like...
Maybe put ya CV into the club if ya think you can get a win out of this group of players with Polter up front and someone else up with him to to play your 4-4-2. Might have to be a midfielder though because guess what.. We have no strikers to play that formation!! Nor is Polter going to score you the goals to get you the wins!

            Give me strength, this forum!

Precisely! The only reason people want him back is to relive the glory days of 2010/2011. Simply not.thinking long term if you want him back.

                • I didn't like Warnock's team selection before the games, but ultimately we got the results and that is what is important. In 2010/11 when he managed us in this division he got the results. In 2015 when he was in charge he got the results.

451 is pony yea? Is that why almost every club in Europe plays it? The formation doesn't lead to negativity, while you say we should play a 442, it doesn't matter because ultimately, the guy playing behind the striker can move up to striker (ie. Fer) in the same way that the striker can drop deeper to collect the ball.
Fans of this club don't want to really find out what is going wrong inherently with the club, so they blame every little thing they can. The formation is wrong, the subs are wrong, the manager is wrong, the half time snacks for the players are costing them. Ultimately, the players are unable to last a full game and we capitulate as a result.
But hey, you go and criticise the team selection and formation of JFH when NW (both now and when we won the league), CR, HR and many others before them both at this club and in all other clubs play a very similar system with great success. The difference? The players. The fitness. The work on that element of the game. In my opinion, there isn't much wrong with the style of football, more so with the inability of the players to adapt to the fitness levels needed to survive playing this style.

We also haven't got box to box midfielders to play a 442

                        4231 suits the squad

Read the 1st line of your post because you do ramble some nonsense on here. We can't play 4-5-1. Never have. Never will. Until it's 4-4-2 expect more of the same rubbish.

Never have? Again, except when Warnock got us promoted. Easy to forget things when you have a point to prove isn't it.
