Doubt Ramsey had any say on transfers, he was a coach first and foremost. Probably a Les buy.

I meant he had worked with him previously and recommended him. Also Luongo spoke about working with Ramsey when he signed.

        • ^Oh ok fair enough.

Just had a read through here… We're getting mugged if we swap Austin for Jerome. Would rather lose Charlie on a free than sign Jerome, he's bloody awful. God knows how he's still playing PL football. May as well stick with JET/Polter.

And Hutton is absolutely dire - he's the worst member of that Villa defence, and that's saying a lot. Will no doubt be on inflated wages too.

Not trying to be negative but this just isn't good enough. We've got people getting paid by the club to scout players and this is the best they can come up with? It's a joke.

I don't buy this concept that because we're little old QPR we should be grateful with whatever we're given, we have the resources to get decent players but the board/scouts or whoever is finding these players is just going for the easiest option. I'll always support whoever's on the pitch but if someones not delivering they shouldn't be immune to criticism.

          • [QUOTE=Ablockhoop;1503893]Hutton and jerome not good enough for us.... Honestly some people on here actually write things that make me wander what they actually watch. Although they are no world beaters they are easily an improvement on what we have... What sort of players do these 'supporters' actually expect....

We sign a couple of youngsters/frees from lower leagues and these same people only give them 5 games to settle...

We sign experienced professionals for cheap like perch, konchesky, and these people knock them after 5 mins.

Or how about the 2 players we got from Watford that won promotion last season. Oh suprise they don't give them 5 games before they are on their back....

Polter signed from a German league one team. Give him 2/3 games he misses a few and has a couple of dodgy first touches and he gets ruined to...

Then we have seasoned internationals like green, fer Sandro that have either encountered career threatening injuries or a lack of form and they get booed and rushed out...

            Pathetic.

If you ask me what the main problem is at our club it's. That there is no patience from fans, people at the club and there is certainly no trust or support ....

Stick together and back each other and I bet we would be in much better posi

Ablock there's a lot of truth in your post but you seem put the blame on the paying fans you talk of patience which would be the ideal , but supporting a football club is a 2 way thing , the club issue a statement in the summer we are going to sign young players from the lower leagues which is welcomed by the vast majority after a few games RAMSEY stops playing them the fans in my opinion are still asking for them to be played all I seem to read is Chery should be playing JET should be playing Lulongo should be playing Kep should be playing ect yes the fans are unfairly short on Polter is it the fans being unfair on the young recent signings .
Right Clint isn't going to play much this season thank god the the great and good of QPR got that one wrong then comes in Konch Perch The 2 from Watford are they in their spring of youth I don't think so , can you or anyone not be suspicious of what goes on at QPR , did this statement we are going to invest in youth from the lower leagues really mean wer'e skint wer'e on the look out for cheap players for day to day survival ? if that was meant come out with it like the club when Ollie came and got everybody on side , I believe the club need to be more up front with the fans as at the moment we seem to be going from one plan to the next and then the next
            Lets go on to

                  Not to bad at all.

Think the issue with Jerome is he could of scored loads more. He does miss some decent chances. However he gets in good positions and bullys defender.

I reckon Jerome and Gayle would be a right handful in the championship. Just doubt we will get either tbh.

Less likely after the bomb attack in Istanbul today.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Don't know about you but I've been watching Charlie Austin for 2 and a half seasons so if you think Cameron Jerome is a decent forward then thats your opinion. Personally, I'd "expect" or like to think that we go for someone who is currently scoring goals somewhere at a decent level.

As for Hutton - he would be a massive improvement on Perch but I'd rather see us go for someone younger.

We are a mid table championship side rift now.

Jerome would be welcomed at most top 10 championship clubs. 18 goals in 41 last year for Norwich. How is that not good enough for you.

He won't even come as we are a step down for him.
